Wait until they are required to play back to back games like the rest of the league. They have had an easy schedule it seems.

I wouldn't read too much into gally not coming out as a star. He probably had his skates off a long timeago. That being said, I hope he's alright

He may have had 2 separate injuries: One to his rib/stomach by crashing into the post and then stitches for another part of his body from Timonen's skate.

I watched the replay carefully : he really didn't crash the post hard at all. It has to be the skate thing...

Also looked like Timonen's stick got into his chest/stomach.

At first I thought a stick got wedged into the net and speared him in the gut. Hard to say. Only reason I knew he got cut was because Marc Denis caught them saying it sitting between the benches. Nobody looked to be freaking out so hopefully minor cut.

It looked like he was holding his left side. If I'm not mistaken the appendix is on your right side. So at least it doesn't look like it he reopened that wound.

Pretty sure they went through his belly button for his appendix, no?

Schneider. Brad May took him out IIRC. It wasn't a playoff clinching game though (it was the 2nd last weekend of the season), but it was our last win that season.

All MT said was they have upper body injuries and we'll know more tomorrow. Team practice tomorrow.

It sucked for me tonight. This game was on the National Hockey League Network. And when that happens, no game televised on Game Center here.

But I did get to watch it on the computer. Thanks to whoever posted the link.

I've had an appendectomy when I was still a kid back in 1993 and they didn't go through the belly button but rather made a cut on the right side where the appendix is located.

However, the way this surgery is performed could've evolved but I doubt it.

They can do it in one of two ways. Open surgery like you had. Or with a laparoscope.

Based upon his fairly quick return, I would think that the surgeon did a laparoscopic appendectomy.

Why?

Typical "grass is always greener".

McGinn was invisible and probably won't ever be a full time NHLer.

I hate to speculate, but I think he may have separated his shoulder, or maybe injured his collarbone (which usually means a break). Lets hope for the best and pray for a sprain or contusion....
