That's a problem Chiasson was able to leave on his own power but that didn't sound good.
Fraser makes it 4-0 with another PPG. Man I can't wait to see this kid in the NHL.
Edit: Shutout for JC
I hope he is not too badly hurt. I am really looking forward to chiasson in dallas. He is a really good playmaker and by all accounts is a tremendous leader. Also itll be nice to have him up wearing number 29 and see how many stars fans are butthurt that they gave steve otts number away.
Texas added former SJ Sharks 2nd round pick in 2009 William Wrenn to the roster today. He played one season in the USNDTP with Jack Campbell, played part of 2 seasons with Denver (NCAA), left school early and played part of two seasons with Portland (WHL) including one as an overage D.
The Sharks chose not to sign him, and they didn't have him play for their ECHL team this season. He did however have a few games with their AHL team as an injury call up.
“This solid two-way d-man has proven to scouts that he is the real deal and will be a highly sought after commodity come draft day. A player that earned his draft position as the year went on. He is smart and reliable d-man who keeps his game very simple and effective. He controls the gap in the neutral zone very well. A good puck-moving d-man who was also one of the best defensively, Wrenn can slow things down and control the play as well. Will be a leader on any team he plays on.” Interestingly, his grandfather, John Kenneth Powell, played in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has committed to the University of Denver for the fall of 2009.
He's obviously had a rough time since the draft, and his offense never really showed up in college or the WHL. He does have decent numbers in the ECHL though, but he's likely a defensive D as a pro.
