I told my old lady during the warm ups that Drouin will score a hatrick, and what happens he scores the trick and i have bragging rights all night.

Finally getting to a Mooseheads game this year Fri vs Shaw. I was hoping to see Nate, Drouin, & Fucale play but it looks like Drouin will be the only one. Clarke will probably start in net. Should still be a very good game.

I hope it's not a very good game. We need to better that Euro pick.

I predicted 7-2 Moose on the Maritime boards, but Marvin Cupper is a pretty solid young goalie. It'll be tough to knock him off his game.

Re: MacKinnon's injury

I assumed from the replay it was a groin injury but I just heard it may be his MCL...Someone please tell me "my guy" was misinformed so I can purchase Memorial Cup tickets with peace of mind.

He did tweak his MCL, but the prognosis is 1-2 weeks, and that is being extremely cautious. He'll probably be out until the Quebec trip in a couple weeks. Good for him to get a break. But again, it's not serious.

I'd be more concerned about Halifax getting to the Memorial Cup than I would be about MacKinnon playing in it.

Yes, they need to make it there first. Lots of good teams this year that can stand in the way.

I'd say buy your tickets anyway. Even if the team doesn't make it, it's quite the experience.

Not sure if anyone else was at the game, but that kid in the timbits game was unreal. He must of scored like 8 goals. First time I've seen them replay a goal in the timbits game when he almost went top corner.

Was sitting to the right of Shawinigans goalie and watched Drouin just embarass all 5 players. Best goal I've ever saw live. Also that Timbits player was unreal! 8 goals and like you said top corner on the last one.

I would sit MacKinnon as long as I can ... Same with Weegar ... These games are not "meaningless" right now, especially when we still have 3 games with Moncton left, but the magic number is 7 wins and we clinch 1st place ... I would rather have a healthy Nate for the playoffs than play him for the final 5-6 reg season games that might not mean anything ...

If you're wondering about purchasing Mem cup tickets, buy em anyways ... It's a great experience from everything I have heard. It may sting if you end watching Moncton or Rimouski in it, but Halifax have a great chance, so let's hope!

Will drouin reach the league lead?

Would have to have a crazy strong end to the season, but who knows..

Zachary Fucale is now tied with Jean-Sebastien Giguere for the most wins in a Halifax Mooseheads career (68). We still have 14 regular season games left, and Fucale is most likely going to be back with Halifax next season.. it's entirely possible that he may reach 100!!

As of 103 games played: 68-23-3-5... 4 shutouts... 2.83gaa... 0.897%.

After that 1st period and the early 2-0 goal... I thought we were going to get steamrolled! Good thing Fucale was incredible tonight! Held the fort in the 1st and made several "game saver" type stops.

Weegar can't come back soon enough... the blueline scares me. What happened to Duke? He used to be so dependable and steady... now I'm nervous every time he's on the ice. Then they pair him with Murphy.... yikes.

Gutsy win for sure! Solid effort from all the forward lines.

Hope the Moosehead send the tape in on that viscous 2-handed chop to the face by Johnson on Lovell. There was a ot of blood and wouldn't surprise me if Lovell lost a couple of teeth. Brutal move...

I got bored, so I figured i'd take a look at this..

(x) - # of games left against them.
(3) Saint John - 6 points (3g 3a) in 3 games
(3) Acadie Bathurst - 6 points (4g 2a) in 2 games
(2) Moncton - 3 points (3a) in 3 games
(2) Cape Breton - 5 points (1g 4a) in 4 games
(1) PEI - 11 points (5g 6a) in 4 games
(1) Shawinigan - 2 points (1g 1a) in 1 game
(1) Val-d'Or - 2 points (2g) in 1 game
(1) Rouyn Noranda - 4 points (4a) in 1 game

Keeping with those averages, Drouin would score 30 points (30.25 rounded down) in the 14 games played..

Another way to look at it is in his last 14 games.. In those games he has 31 points (14g 17a).. so his pace just about matches what he's "projected" to get in the NEXT 14 games, meaning it's entirely possible he gets those numbers.

Peter Trainor has 12 games left, and 21pts in his last 12.
Ben Duffy has 13 games left, and 19pts in his last 13.
Josh Currie has 13 games left, and has 16pts in his last 13.
Dmitrij Jaskin has 13 games left, and has 32pts in his last 13.

So, by this logic the top-5 would be...
1) Dmitrij Jaskin - 113 points
2) Jonathan Drouin - 110 points
3) Peter Trainor - 109 points
4) Ben Duffy - 105 points
5) Josh Currie - 101 points

Now, obviously this really means nothing.. it was only meant as a way to pass some time. If Nate comes back recharged, who knows what he and Drouin could do. I think it's very possible he leads the league by the end of the season.

I don't worry about Duke too much ... As you said he's dependable and steady and rarely has bad games ... He will come back ...

But stepping us was Hardie. His best game.

And I heard Dom has started looking for the tape to send in ... You can't baseball bat someone in the face .... Tired of Moncton taking out our players with cheap plays, or playing dirty in general .. I really want to beat them in the playoffs lol

Also, because of what normally happens in the last game, and what Dom has said, it's unlikely Drouin/MacKinnon/Fucale/Frk play in the final game.... So factor that in lol...

It will be tough for Jo to win the title ... I would just be glad if he gets to 100 points.

Hows it go?

EDIT: Is it the song that's basically "dadado dadado dadadadadadado" or whatever? If so, it's Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis.
