what do you want a medal for being a fan since the 60's??
I'm 43 so what's the big deal & by the way went to Yvan cournoyer's & Yvon Lambert's hockey schools 2 Yrs. in a row way back when.

Which makes me criticise you even more considering your "a die hard habs fan since the early 60's". Your comments are way off base. You should have a little bit more wisdom on how things are dealt with & not jumping on the "oh we haven't done anything in the free agent" frenzy, that only this time of year proves beyond stupidity how some GM's think time and time again that they can spend their way to a championship.

Grow up & stick by the man in charge of those decisions & stop jumping on and off the band wagon as your legs can only be broken so many times.

Lead the way for a bit especialy from a solid hab backer from the "early 60's".

The Frog In the Well?

Also known as "Plato's Cave".

It seems to me that many non Hab fans seem to have this perception. That is, Montreal has been very questionable for almost 10 years. There's almost an attitude out there that, "if they sucked, they will continue to suck".

This is of course not tempered by any actual facts regarding the team. Slowly and surely, Montreal has been steadily growing with a youth base that most prospect pages and experts place in the top 5. HF has us at 5th!

But still, the Frog in the Well can't grasp anything beyond what they have come to accept as a regular occurance.

People will buy tickets and flock to the Bell Centre.

BTW: To all out there who have this tunnel vision - A STORM IS COMING - A BIG NASTY KILLER HAB STORM!

I predict our attendance to be 100% for the entire season. I bet montreal could ice abunch of pylons on skates and they would still sell out, in the past 5 season montreal has been #1 in attendance each ear in the one year they were not they were #2 and i believe they were only down by like 20 seats average.

And Bob Gainey is too smart a man to make any knee-jerk reactions to all this ******** contracts GM's are handing out these days.

Mark Streit- played most of the season at ahl calibre .probally should have started in the ahl to adjust to the north american game .
4 starters out of 18.... sure sounds like an ahl team.

dumbest thread in a while. If we can't sign a FA, Gainey might trade. Even if he does not, it only means more rookies will be brought up. A. Kostitsyn comes to mind... and he sure has talent.

The Habs will sell out every game just like every year. Not signing a marquee free agent won't make an ounce of difference to ticket sales.
