Another big game for Cammy... 3G - 1A. Finding his game, and racking up the points!

Trade value increasing.

He also has 9 points in 8 games so far, though to be fair 7 of those points have come in his last 2 games.

Habs had offered that kind of money thinking that he would progress and become a 40-50 goal scorer. Had great first playoffs but production diminished progressively. MC in a best case scenario is now a 20-30 goal scorer with unidimensional skills. Paid 3-4M per, teams would line up. At 6M, he is untradeable.

These boards simply refuse to match player value with $$$. Hockey is a business.

I doubt Calgary will tear it down. They will compete for playoffs and keep patching up in off season. They miss the due date on trading Ignila and Kipper. So why blow up team now after missing big returns?

Penguins offer TK + 3rd

for

Cammy + Calgary retains $2mil.

$4mil for both teams, Calgary wipes there hands of the bad contract. Penguins get a playoff winger for Sid.

Why would the Flames simply give Cammalleri away? Tyler Kennedy has no value to the Flames, and a 3rd is well, a 3rd.

AND they retain salary? It would be at least a first round pick from Pittsburgh.

So 3rd liner + 3rd for Cammy? Jesus how about Glencross + 2nd for Malkin?

Awwww he mad.

Keep trying to pawn off your crappy recycled junk.

C'mon guys Tangradi is a legitimate piece in acquiring a top line winger!!

I would say upgrade the pick to a 2nd and we might be close to a deal.

Tyler Kennedy is exactly the type of player the Flames could use. Has decent offensive instincts, works hard and is responsible at both ends of the ice. Not a top end end talent by any stretch of the imagination, but a guy who brings his best game to the rink every night.

If the Flames retain salary it would cost the Pens a 2nd. That is more than fair given Cammalleri's salary and is supported by other deals where salary has been shifted around.

Wait a second. You were the one who said you wanted a player to ride shot gun with Crosby and produce in the playoffs? Do you honestly think those players grow on trees and there wouldn't be demand from other teams for such a player? Don't be naive. If you say you want him to play with Crosby you are saying you see the potential in the player to be a big win for your team. So don't get all butt hurt and act like a baby when someone demands fair compensation for a player of that stature. The poster was responding your comment and going on the assumption that you're identifying Cammalleri as a first line player. A first line player is worth a late first round draft pick, especially to a team looking to go deep in the playoffs. You're not trading away a top 10 pick, you're trading away a pick in the 20-30 range.
