I don't know, the way he basically stomps down seems unnatural, especially since it comes once they already stopped.

This one is definitely one I think was unintentional on Cooke's part - if this had been anyone else but Cooke no one would have suggested that it was intentional. Sucks for Karlsson and the Senators. I sincerely hope he recovers quickly and fully

Tough break for Karlsson and the Sens and I wish them the best. But this isn't intentional, it's pretty tough to intend that. He's losing his balance and he's trying to gain leverage for a board pin...Cooke has been effectively neutered by the Penguins at this point, and it shows in his game...not that it means a ton to many, but you could see in Cooke's face when Neil took him to task that he was explaining pretty sincerely that he didn't mean to.

Which isn't at all like Cooke. Years ago, he would do something dirty and then tell the other team to blow it out their blowhole if they didn't like it...usually by doing something else that was borderline or worse...this wasn't an intentional play...

1. Do you have any favorite athletes that are around your age? Mine are Gretzky, Lemieux, Modano, Mark Johnson, Michael Jordan, Walter Payton, and Ryne Sandberg.

2. I agree with TDMM that they and the Hawks are in the Finals!

Quote:
When it came time to project the top teams in the Eastern Conference in this lockout-shortened season, the defending champion New Jersey Devils were one of the easiest to overlook. Zach Parise had left to sign a $98 million contract with Minnesota as a free agent. Ilya Kovalchuk wasn't scoring like in the old days. Martin Brodeur was on his way to being 41 years old. David Clarkson wasn't going to score anywhere close to 30 goals like he did last year. And there was a no-name defense. Indeed, the negatives went on and on and on. Well, guess what? Roughly a quarter of the way into the 48-game season, the No. 1 team in the East - and the No. 3 club overall in the NHL - is New Jersey (8-2-3).

I find this question strange because I haven't thought of it that way before. When I was a teenager, all my sports heroes of course were OLDER than I was!

I have to think about it...

Gretzky for me. We were born just a few months apart. I hated him with a passion when the Oilers were challenging the Isles for NHL supremacy, but the more I watched him, the more I came to appreciate his genius. And he was a genius. I don't think I've ever seen a more intelligent athlete in any sport, at any time.

Yeah, same here. I have a friend who grew up with and new many quality players. He's at least met most of the current crop of emerging Vancouver area NHLers like Alzner, Turris, Nugent-Hopkins et al. But for me, I never knew anyone before they were famous, so, there's no personal connection. That said, being 30, most of my favourite are around my age. So, I guess I could say Alex Edler and LaMarcus Aldridge, although both are younger than me.

Thanks. Just giving up a few things like soda pop and exercising at least 3 times a week makes a huge difference.

Exercising really does nothing for losing weight. You want to lose weight, it's all about diet.

1 hour on a treadmill 3 times per week will only knock off about 5 pounds per year.

1 less can of Coke per day will knock off about 20 pounds per year.
