Same here. Malone would be nice, but not at his salary and I think we can do better than that if Nisky is part of the deal.. Besides, doesn't he get hurt a lot?

We won't get a top 6 winger for Nisky straight up.

I'll stop complaining but I sat around all day yesterday with nothing to do. I thought Saturday was the day to do stuff and Sunday was to relax and veg in front of the TV all afternoon.

Looks like I'll DVR this game and wear headphones all day to try to avoid hearing the score before I finally get a chance to watch the game tonight. An exercise in futility, I'm sure, but I'll give it a shot.
Yeah I hate doing stuff on Sunday, besides playing a sport (don't even have one going right now). Sunday is a day of laziness and doing nothing.

It's long weekend here, I am a bachelor, and I will thoroughly enjoy the amount of alcohol I'm going to be able to drink today and night.

But first, 10 minutes to game time.

Not sure if it's been posted yet, just heard on pens radio, Bortuzzo in today... Depres is sitting.

Reason being, as they said, they wanted a grittier/bigger D against Buffalo.

Despres is big and gritty.

I've heard the rationalizations. I disagree.

Sit Niskanen, instead. He's still gimpy.

Sabres scratch: Leino (IR; hip), Sekera (LBI), Brennan, Grigorenko.

Also, if you want to read into it, the following Western scouts are in attendance at FNC: Minnesota, Anaheim, LA, Edmonton, Colorado, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, St. Louis.

Agree 100%. No reason for it. If you want physical, you sit Nisky and play Elmer and Bort. Real simple. Both of those guys have physical stature and some nasty in their game. Niskanen has neither. This to me smacks of a guy being held out because of a potential trade. Makes no sense at all to sit Despres for the reason given, and they know this better than any of us. It would make sense to play Niskanen big minutes like the other night, if your goal is to let someone scout him.

What a freaking dumb decision.
DB really makes it tough to like him sometimes with decisions like this. Despres has been playing great two way hockey and this is how you reward him? Great way to instill confidence in the kid.

Thanks for the update.

Minnesota and Colorado both there.

Appreciated.

Shame about Grigs. I was sort of looking forward to seeing him play.

Looks like he's having sort of a rough go of it, this season. Very understandable... I don't really think he was ready to be a full time NHLer, yet.
