Sure. Let's trade Hemsky for... *drumroll* another goalie.

Jeez. Dubby has had 2 bad periods this year. With the exception of those 2 periods he'd been a complete stud. All of those goals he let in VS Dallas were flukey goals which would get by anyone. Dallas had serious puckluck that night.

Hemsky WANTS to stay in Edmonton and we've got him for another year at an affordable price. You want Hemsky? Offer up Michalek++ or a top 4 d-man+ and we'll talk.

Have a nice day.

Except based on the OP's previous posts he's an Ottawa fan. You made the trade worse for Edmonton.

Keep dreaming. We'll gladly keep our #1 goaltender, and *if* (and that's a huge if) we do explore trading him it won't be for a band-aid like Hemsky.

the value probably isn't far off, a starting goalie for a top 6 winger, both having great starts to the season. Problem is, it doesn't take each team's needs into account, especially not the Oilers. The Oilers are fine in net, it's not even in the Oiler's top 10 needs. I'm sure Ottawa could use some help up front, and they do have good depth in goal, so I see how they could afford to make this deal. They are better off looking for another trading partner, especially if the main trading piece they are offering is Anderson.

This is like trading a 100 dollar bill for a 20 dollar bill that requires tape to stay together.

Yeah, Hemsky had injury issues for a couple years. He's now a band-aid.

Only on HF can such ignorance run rampant. Thanks, we'll gladly keep our 1A RW whom is playing incredibly well this season. We don't need or want Anderson, Dubnyk is younger and playing just fine for us.

The $20 bill that would be leading your club in goals.

Is that right?

Sure it does. It means that he's less injury prone than your guys and has more goals. Suddenly the argument haters have been using the last couple years is backfiring

I'd much rather keep Hemsky. If he's truly over his injury issues, he's worth a ton.

There are tons of goalies who have had entire seasons of amazing stats only to regress into being back-ups.

Happy with Dubnyk... Anderson is playing out of his mind and we should't help out the senz because of Anderson's unsustainable season. It will burn us.

Hemsky is playing the best hockey i have seen from him pre 2009 simply because he is healthy. We know what we got with Hemsky therefore Hemsky > Anderson.

Hemsky is healthy now, he can take hits and it doesn't phase him what so ever... Anderson is clearly having an unsustainable season though, how do you not see this? You lost against the leafs with shots against in the mid 20's the first game without Karlsson, he's not there to help out anymore. Imo Anderson's #'s will come back to reality sooner rather than later and because of that i'd rather Keep the "bandaid" in Hemsky.

Top 4 d man + is not out of the realm of possibilities and neither is Michalek++ as the "+" could be 4th and 6th rounders etc. Fact is Hemsky is playing better than all of your forwards and is worth more than any of them other than Spezza... theirs no disputing that as that is the truth.

Considering Hemsky has had consistent issues with both left and right shoulders (list doesn't end there) he is a bandaid. And considering Karlsson has only been injured by cuts from skates, he isnt a bandaid. If you are gonna use a Sen say Spezza...

Anyways this trade makes no sense for either side. Hemsky is the driving force on the oilers 2nd line and Dubnyk has been pretty good this year. Anderson is the senators right now. Ottawa wants to give the young players an oppurtunity to preform in a situation with some hope. Plus it isnt certain if Lehner is ready yet.

Karlsson has a possible career changing injury... He may not be the same for you guys as he was the past 1 and a quarter seasons. Hemsky is still doing what he does, going into the dirty areas to get pucks and distribute them and actually leading our team in goal scoring. We don't need another goaltender atm and trading Hemsky for a goal tender playing above his head right now is not a good gamble. imo.

Hemsky has only played more then 71 games 4 times in a 10 year NHL career. Regardless of how he has started off this season, his skill is obviously there, but based on currrent level of play hes not worth Anderson. If Hart voting was tomorrow Anderson would be in contention to win it. Hemksy leading a soso Oilers team in goals isnt overly impressive... Anderson dominating with half an AHL team is.

You know there's a difference between 70% cut and 100% cut. When it's anything less then 100% cut, there will be a full recovery. It may take a year, but eventually, it's fully healed especially at such a young age. It's when its 100% cut, they have to tie it...it's shorter...never as flexible...never as strong. But that's not the case. We're lucky.
