What do Phoenix fans think of a swap of Rundblad and Okposo? Both look like they need a change of scenery.

I'd like Garth Snow to explore something involving one of

Cal Clutteruck
Ryane Clowe
Jonathan Bernier

They need a gritty power forward that can play wing in the middle six, and they need an NHL ready goaltender that can stick around awhile.

a problem with clowe is that he is an unrestricted free agent at season's end.

So is Clutterbuck, I believe. You take the chance that they sign an extension after seeing that the Island isn't the seventh gate of hell.

I'd be cool with Okposo + Streit for an upgrade at defense or upgrade at forward and serviceable defenseman back.

clutterbuck and bernier are rfa's at the end of the year. even if the island is the seventh gate of hell, we would still hold their rights

I'm not ready to give up on Okposo yet. You know the points will come soon and he's signed to a reasonable contract. All he needs to do is play with the tenacity he used to have. Okposo is one of those players I could see taking off on a better run team. Not saying he'll turn into a superstar but a 25g 35a player isn't unrealistic.

It would have to be Nabokov i wouldnt be comfortable if quick went down with a injury with either poulin or nilsson sorry

Well- that was if we make the trade now. If the Isles are out of the race I would think Snow would prefer to trade Nabokov for Bernier. If in a couple of weeks we are out of it Nabokov & Okposo for Bernier and a 3rd

Nabokov is a ufa and I dont see the kings resigning him he ll only have value for the rest of the year to backup quick. The kings are asking a 1st and young player/top prospect I was willing to drop it to the 2nd and young player (ko) if they got nabokov to cover the rest of the season. Now way im adding to bernier to get Ko and a rental goalie

Kings would not be comfortable with poulin as a backup this season. Also i dont see the islanders carrying depietro thomas nabackov and bernier One would have to go in this trade. Only goalie that would interest the kings is Nabackov. Also a 2nd is needed to be added from the islanders to balance the trade. If the islander want richardson or penner could be added.

Poulin is extremely talented and behind the solid Kings defense he would be very good but I have no problem swapping him out for Nabby. If we got Bernier he would be our #1 anyway
