Last game, Faulk played 27:45 and Harrison played 25:26. That's throwing a sophomore d and a 5/6 dman into the fire. And then you have an AHL d-pairing to round out the d. Not saying you guys don't have key losses, just saying our d is pretty brutal right now.

And you can add on Ruutu for the whole season if you like.
Dude. Price.

It's pretty common to be a little weak after the flu. And this is a case
of back-to -back games. Makes sense I would think.

Oh, its a b2b? Yeah, that does make more sense

I just don't want him to dress unless he's ready to go, tbh.

Sounds like Kaberle has found a new home, a place where he will be wanted. Enjoy.

It's the 1st of 2 b2b games.

Carolina on the 1st night, Rangers on the 2nd. I think they wanna go the safe route and be sure to bank on the Rangers game with Price. Plus, you know, the whole "let him rest one more day"

We're missing our top two d-men, so "Advantage Montreal".

Also, Skinner isn't going to make the trip, so you can expect a heavy dose of Jussi Jokinen with a dash of Chad LaRose tossed in. Enjoy.

Considering the b2b, I suppose they will ere on the side of caution with subban as well.

I guess that leaves wolverine as the only hopeful against carolina out of the injured bunch, seeing as he has magical healing powers.

As for the canes fans coming in and saying advantage montreal, I still won't feel comfortable unless Ward is out. There is no position in hockey that can mask deficiencies as much as a #1 goalie can. Montreal does not have that luxury.

Carolina is the only team I like in the SE, even though they ****ed us in the PO.

Hoping for a close, tight game.

Habs 4 (Galchenyuk, Cole x2, Pacioretty)
Canes 3 (Semin x2, E. Staal)

I'm wondering how long Subban has been fighting this bug. It seems to me
that his icetime dropped in the third period for the last three games, including
the two OT games. Maybe he can start the game with some energy, but fades
after a couple of periods.

Okay, so you guys started pretty well.

What do you think of Jordon Staal so far? And how is he being used?
2nd line center? With his brother sometimes?

Yep 2nd line center. He hasn't been scoring as many goals as I'd like, but his play has been stellar in my opinion. Very happy with the acquisition, although I was a big Brandon Sutter fan too.

I guess he's the sort of guy that can drive puck possession, even if
he's not producing much. I always though he was a stud.

I'm just glad Brandon Sutter is no longer on your team, he's burned us a couple of times in the past.

Semin is due for sure. You may be right here. Pacioretty may not be in top form and if that's the case, they should sit him out.

Either this, or we play with 7Ds with Weber and Kaberle back into the flock.

Semin will either light us up, or be a non factor.

Canes are playing well and a good team. Going to be a hard game.

Canes win 10-0

Ouch. Sounds like a battle of the decimated lineups. Eager to see how it plays out!

If Eric Staal is playing then there'll be more than enough offense to win this game. If I recall correctly, he averages a hattrick a game vs the Habs...or something of the sorts.
