How about Eller, Diaz, Leblanc, and Archambault For Polak, Vladimir Sobotka, 2nd rounder?

We have Gorges that is pretty similar to Polak. I like Polak but we need more Eller than we need Polak.

Yannick Weber has Eric Tangradi value.
Please. I've seen plenty of D'Agostini over the years to know what he is...and quality 3rd liner he is not.

If you think Weber and D'Agostini have the same value, then you haven't watched either of them play.

1) we've watched the d'agostini movie before and don't need to again
2) trading Tinordi is a non-starter - even if it's for Polak.

I'm just saying, he isn't the same player. We don't have room for him, but he'd be a solid contributor on most other NHL teams.

Diaz has been the #1 in MTL for the past two weeks. No way this works for him.

Polak isn't untouchable, but with his contract and his ability, there's zero incentive to move him.

Trading for Eller would be a luxury and isn't really necessary.

Sobotka is too versatile to trade away, no on Polak anyway.

Value wise, it is a very fair proposition. A couple questions though:

Why throw in Archambault? We will give you Brett Sonne too. Maybe throw in Thrower...ha ha.
Diaz doesn't really fill a need we have. Smallish d-man though steady and rh shot.
Leblanc still looks like he could be a player.

I wouldn't be ticked, if the Blues made this move. I'm just not so sure I would make it.

If Sobotka got traded, I believe Hitchcock would quit. He would put this guy in goal if he thought it would spark the other goalies.

I would still pass. I don't see a clear *need* for Polak on the Habs... at least, not to the extent that I give up one of our best trade chips to get him, our D is doing fine as it is, even with sub-optimal size factor. I would wait a bit longer and see how much closer Eller can get to his ceiling, he's good value on his current deal and we'll probably know by the end of it if he's a keeper or not. And address the defense either internally (Tinordi) or on the free agent market.

D'Agostini wouldn't interest me. Weber is a better asset for us atm, just because of his position and our expectation of eventually moving/terminating Kaberle. Neither has real trade value, however, but I wouldn't swap them at the other end of the deal either.

Archambault was a throw in but a decent one regardless who a tally has a good possibility of playing in the NHL..

Thrower on the other hand is NOT an option haha..

Ill give you Weber rather than Diaz loll, simply kidding
