Briere only gets points on the PP. He is a minus player 5-5

Have the Flyers brought in some new scouts? Some of our later round pickups seem to be very good the past few years.

Listening to the play by play. Stolarz is stealing this game... he just stoned Ryan Strome on a semi-break short-handed after Strome stole the puck from Maata.

I don't think so but with late round picks, it's mostly luck. If Detroit really knew Datsyuk would be that good, they would not have drafted 7 guys ahead of him.

Stolarz got banged up a little, but he is insane today. Going to end up facing 40 shots and a lot of them are testers.

That's good to hear that he's stepping up. I may be wrong, but wasn't it supposed to be him piggybacking one of the better teams in the CHL, meaning he wouldn't face this sort of challenge? Either way, I'm excited to see how he develops.

thats awesome. i really like the fact that he decided to make the change from college to OHL.

he's got a 2.25GAA and a 0.927SV% in 10GP. I'm not sure if that includes today's game or not. Relatively small sample size too but he's shown some promise. i'm really curious to see how things work out for him with the world juniors next year.

I think he has a pretty good shot at being the backup at the least.

whats with the delay in the Phantoms game.
Im guessing someone on Springfield got hurt? Game delayed with 3:42 left. same time as a Manning boarding minor.

Phantoms defenseman Brandon Manning boarded Springfield Falcons forward Wade Macleod. Macleod started skating back to the bench and collapsed and started having convulsions. Trainers and EMS on the ice, he's in a stretcher. Started twitching his arm. Prayers to him.

RT @dianacnearhos: I'm told the remainder of the game has just been canceled.

RT @PhantomsHockey: The game has been the Phantoms and Falcons has been suspended...no word on when the game will be resumed

Been listening to some radio coverage on this.

MacLeod apparently is in stable and alert condition.

But the rest of the game has been postponed.

that's great new.

i don't want to sound callus but why was the game postponed? would that happen in the NHL or is it cause it's in the AHL? really i'm not trying to be a d-bag i'm just curious.

Here is a low-quality video, but you can see the hit (not the reaction). I expected to see a much worse hit or dirty play or something, but it doesn't look anything out of the ordinary. Wonder what caused it.

A similar experience would be when Jiri Fischer's heart stopped on the bench for the Detroit Red Wings back in 2005. Game was postponed then as well.

This doesn't sound like it was as serious from a medical perspective, but definitely concerning.
