Hawks 3, Kings 2

Well that third period was a heart attack.

If you call the penalty on Oduya, you should call the one on the Kings for harassing Emery. NHL tried just a little too much to keep the Kings in this game.

Well-deserved victory for the Blackhawks.

They barely beat the reigning entirely intact Stanley Cup champions. Pathetic.

Looked like the ice got pretty bad toward the end of the game and the hawks got really sloppy in transition game. Favored Kings imo.

Jets fan here - those refs were just brutal vs CHI today.
So brutally unfair (how was that not goalie INT, but Oduya gets 2 min? No call, but Toews gets one?) --- and i thought refs were bad vs. the Jets!!

For a league that's trying to crack down on goalie interference, it was a complete joke that A) There was no original penalty and B) That Oduya was even called for anything.

No reason to complain ,, We got some help from Refs in that Columbus game earlier in year

Bad calls even out

Yea but I HATED that we had Kruger out there taking that draw with 1:04 left. Would have much rather seen Toews so we had a chance to win it and clear.

NBC wanted to keep it a nail biter to keep their viewers.

Refs always catch the 2nd guy, pretty common in every aspect of sports. I don't think Oduya did that much but it doesn't matter.

It's not like it was something behind the play. The puck was in Chicago's end, the LA King player ran straight into Emery, knocked him over and got nothing. Joke.

I have to agree with BWC. The Hawks have been beneficiaries of some questionable calls (and non-calls for that matter) this year; it was only a matter of time before they got the short end of a decision.

That being said they did what good teams do, fight through it and win. Kudos to the Hawks for surviving that onslaught there at the end.

People complain about toughness on this team, then rage when good ole 27 sticks up for a guy harassing the goalie.

Every game is not do or die on points. Coming together as a team and bonding is much more important. Good on Odoya, love it.

Yeah it would have been nice to have someone better at faceoffs out there, but Kruger and Frolik have been the best at killing penalties so I can see why Q went with them. They could have gone with two centers, but then Frolik stays on the bench

Kruger/Frolik have been most effective guys on PK

You have to throw them out there in that situation despite the lack of faceoff ability

Time and place

Dont do it with empty net and your team up by 1 goal in final minute of game

The Hawks now have half the points needed to qualify for the playoffs, based on some calculations a few posters did earlier in the week, with not even a third of their games played. What an amazing run this has been.

Who cares what Oduya did, it didn't cost us anything in the end.

I also don't care who has been most effective on the PK, Toews should of took that draw, with Kruger on his wing. But again, it didnt change a thing in the end.

Bad 3rd period, otherwise a pretty good game.

Bolland really is far better-suited to be on line #3. Team's winning and playing great hockey on the whole, but they'd be even better with Bolland moved back and someone else at #2C... trade, maybe? Bit early to get into that.
