Eakins has been ejected this year already, I wouldn't say he's "even-tempered".

Colborne with 16 pts since December.
Ashton with 6 pts in the same span.

Colborne almost PPG in that span which is nice. Colborne had a terrible start to the year though, 10pts in 27 games.

Marlies could really use Rielly and Percy on the back end. They'd be an upgrade on the depth they have now

Haha if that's the case I guess not, obviously I got the wrong impression lol. To be fair though that call did look pretty bad the stick looked to be above the crossbar on the goal so I can understand his frustration.

Ashton is never going to be prolific in points, however it is a positive he is tied for 3rd in goals scored on the marlies this year with 10.

How has Gardiner been?
Has he looked close to returning to his pre-concussion form?

He looks lost, he's carrying the puck too much, missing passes and he looks weaker in his own end. It's been depressing to watch him play since he's returned.

Jerome Flaake has 40 points in 43 games, 8 points more then his nex teammate. Jamie Benn played on his team during the lockout, and had 20 in 19.

Jerome is big, 6'3, 200 lbs. He's still just 22, I'm wondering, what do people think of his NHL ability, and does anyone think he will ever decide to make the jump to the NHL. Like Komarov.

Also do we own his rights still?

Bringing up Colborne might wake up a Center on our roster, Ashton would be a big improvement over Macarthur on the 2nd line, think this guy is better on the 3rd line. But more likely as trade bait, looking squarely at a 3rd rd pick, 2nd rd if we are lucky for Mac.

Colborne and ashton are fine, big guys take a while. Plus we all know how strengthening for kadri has been trouble some, it is the same case for Joey. However for Ashton it's not that but more of his scoring touch. Which is getting better but not as progressive as I'd have hoped.

I'll be at the Aeros game on Monday. I'll give an update and Marlies overview on the young prospects.

Yeah he basically lost the game for the team because he was upset with a penalty call/ejection on Aucoin

He does come off as "even-tempered" in interviews though, so I could understand where you got that impression.

Reilly has been the hottest of the top 5 scoring D-men in the WHL in febuary.

7 games/4 goals/8 assists. The Warriors season is over in just over a month. The Marlies are gonna like that.

Who else will they get after that? Biggs and ....?

Gardiner doesn't have the skill players down there he had earlier in the season, but him,and Rielly together next month will be a force.

Gardiner should be in the NHL by then , if not then I will laugh. I would say Stuart Percy but the Steelheads will most likely make the playoffs , but I don't think they will make it far.

Oshawa is sitting 3rd in the eastern conference with 7 points on Brampon and Sudbury at 4th and 5th and just need 4-5 points or so do clinch a playoff spot.

That's disheartening. Hopefully he picks it up, he was great before he got sidelined.

He was dominating before his injury. It'll take some time, but he will get it back. Letting him hit his stride with the Marlies isn't the end of the world.

Dallas Eakins was quoted saying that Gardiner has his game back, and is ready for the NHL again. He's logged good minutes and seems to have his conditioning and touch back.

I'm not sure I can buy that he is looking lost still.

Don't forget the veteran defense they had to start the season is now playing in the NHL, as well as Kadri and Frattin. Holzer, Kostka, Fraser are gone and I'm not sure if Ranger is back or if he is at 100%.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.
