And they're not even 1st rounders. Marchand 3rd, Bergeron 2nd and Lucic as well, Krejci later ounces s well and hen there is the gifts from Toronto Rask, Seguin and Hamilton. The 1st rounders Hamill, Colbourne and Caron not so great

I feel like every time the Bruins do draft low, they end up trading that player in a few years anyway - Look at Thornton, Kessel. Much of their core is late round steals. If there's anything I'm jealous of when it comes to the Bruins, it's that.

They are good at drafting, but they aren't the best for sure, it's just they get feed on good prospects by the Leafs.

The Islanders are "shopping" Marty Reasoner, according to Arthur Staple of Newsday.
The veteran center has pretty much lost his role as a fourth-liner/penalty-killer, and there's probably not going to be much interest in him. He's in the last year of a two-year, $2.7 million deal, with seven points in 71 total games with the team. Reasoner is likely to be put on waivers soon.

Yes, NJ Devils: Undrafted David Clarkson has more goals than Marchand.

In fact, NJD doesn't even need to draft to have a better player than Marchand and any Habs players. This guy is better than Marleau, Toews, Kovalchuk, Lecavalier, Thornton, etc.

OMG. Are you serious? I mean some of you here are really taking all this way too seriously.

I thought it was obvious I was being sarcastic. I thought it was obvious that my point was it was ridiculous to take a stat snapshot as argument to make a point.

Very true but extremists aside, glad he's no longer our GM. He wasn't good. We'll see how Bergevin does.

I was counting on Spezza & Michalek to be a big part of my fantasy team's offense this year. FML

I was hoping for some big production out of Karlsson...

Also, the Islanders are getting killed.

Aaron Palushaj 2 goals in 4 games with Avs. 1 goal in 44 games with Habs.

Yeah i know... small sample size.

Palushaj scores again for Colorado, 2nd goal in 4 games... while with the Habs he went over half a season with only 1 goal.

What is it with Montreal that sucks all the scoring ability out of some players?

Whom else on the habs would be better off playing elsewhere to get more goals?

You start by saying it's a small sample size, and finish with ''What is it with Montreal that sucks all the scoring ability out of some players?''. Great way to argue with yourself.

Well he didn't play very often here. Colorado is literally forced to play him. THere are plenty of players who are grinding on the fourth line of teams better than us who would thrive on the Habs because we'd actually play them.

Well, how about D'agostini... had 2 goals in 40 games with the habs and the next year scored over 20 with St Louis?

It's not unusual at all for players to jump out to a good start with a new team. Sustainability is a whole other thing.

Anyhow, it's not like the Habs "gave up" on Palushaj...they didn't want to lose him for nothing...but he was coming off IR and had to go on waivers to go to Hamilton, simple as that.
