I'm starting to get pretty ticked off that we are losing all the best players in Wisconsin.

Jordan Schmaltz (Verona) last year went to North Dakota. Ian McCoshen (Hudon) this year is heading to BC. Anders Bjork (Mequon) is going to Notre Dame. Wil Butcher (Sun Prairie) is going to Denver. It's kind of annoying that the team isn't doing better to get the commitments of elite prospects being developed right in the shadow of the Kohl center.

How much has Kerdiles contributed to the unbeaten streak?

He and Zengerle are far and away the best forwards on the team.

I saw it. Hopefully they keep the highlights coming for the remaining games, it would be much appreciated

I probably should have included Michale Mersch. He's been the Badgers best forward the entire season and was basically their only scoring threat when Zengerle and Kerdiles were gone.

This upcoming weekend is crucial for Wisco if they are planning to make the tournament imo. From the way the team has been playing I'm hoping for split or better.

Rumpel was outstanding last night. The power play is still awful. Nobody moves, they just stand there and when they do actually get a lane to shoot they hold the puck and then pass it some more. Just shoot, shooting is never a bad option, just look at the goal last night. Bad angle from 35 feet and it goes in.

End tied 2-2. Can't be tying with unranked opponents if you want to move up.

Very disappointed that a couple mistakes and a lucky bounce cost the badgers the game
I liked the shot totals but they need to score more than 2 with them......

Good win by the Badgers over the Gophers in the Hockey City Classic today. In fact, I thought both games were well played.

First off, let me say that the ice looked so bad. The puck bounced all over the place, definitely didn't help ANY of the teams.

Despite the conditions, I thought both the Badgers and Gophers played well in the opening period. The Badgers got it going in the second period, but the Gophers managed to get two back in third. I thought Rumpel played pretty well. Nice to see that Woods has finally found his mojo...sort of.

Most important thing for the Badgers though, they got the split. That helps their WCHA standing and in the Pairwise.

Bucky's schedule is tough the rest of the way. Next up is Penn State. And if you all haven't seen PSU yet, let me say that they're not to be taken lightly. Guy Gadowsky is doing a heckuva job with the Nittany Lions and they've played well against some tough opponents this year (absolutely picked apart Michigan State earlier in the season). After that, it's at UNO then back at the Kohl Center vs. SCSU to close out the regular season. They're all winnable series but the Badgers are gonna have to bring their "A" game if they want these crucial points, especially against UNO and SCSU.
