Stephane Da Costa

He looks promising. I really like his skill set for some reason.

What would Sen fans want for him?

Sens fans won't give him up short of overpayment. His value has never been higher based solely upon how many injuries they have to key offensive guys up front.

Colorado fan? He could be used in a package for O'Reilly but that's about it.

First, why would the Avs want him?

No. Not from an Avs perspective. A general value.

No idea. Not sure where he fits on our team when healthy, and not sure of his value. Hard to project what kind of player he'll be.

I think he has the upside of being a very good offensive 2nd line centre. His vision and hockey sense are very, very strong. He's got soft hands and good skating, too. His stick is deceptive and he has a very strong base for a small guy.

Put him on a decent line with decent line-mates and he will produce well. He's still developing, too.

He's not worth much right now to other teams. Sens might be better off to really take a long look and evaluate him.

He looks good without question, but it's hard to imagine another teams GM getting too excited and offering too much. Part of a package for something bigger would probably be the best answer.

If you compared him to Todd White, and what he was traded for, a 4th

He's probably worth what Desharnais would have been worth a few weeks into his breakout season: whatever the price is for an undrafted kid who shows promise but is not yet proven.

Sens fans hoping he'll have the save value Desharnais did at the end of last season by the time this one is over with.

Sens fans also hoping he doesn't fall off a cliff lik Desharnais did to start his season.

Agreed. He's pretty much the classic 'worth more to his team than around the league' player. He hasn't played a ton in the NHL yet, but will get a good look with all our injuries lately, and has looked pretty good so far. He was rumoured to be in a package for O'Reilly, for fans of other teams that may not know.

I really like his skill set too. Which is why I want to keep him. It would have to be a jaw dropping offer.

An upgrade at forward position(young with term) with Da Costa being part of the package, and him not being a filler piece.
