It's unique...i'll give it that. It's more dicking around pointlessly than social commentary though. I guess that's social commentary itself considering the age we live in. i'm going to try to slog through another few hours to see if it gets better.

Sorry, it's fun and all but...
Just out of curiosity, what act have you read up to? The deeper you get into the story the less silly and more serious it gets. If youve only read act 1, then yeah I could see how you call it childish and silly. But once you get into the meat of it it gets epic.

you know, in trying to look up why people like this i keep seeing that so that's why i'm going to go further. but then i see people who have given up after investing a ton of time in it because it's bogged down. Kinda hate that. I do it with books, too--i'll give something a shot, not really like it, but slog through it anyway. sometimes its very rewarding and sometimes it really pisses me off. I'll give it more of a shake before I piss on it further though.

yeah, only act 1.

Yeah the depth of it really starts to become apparent the further into it you get. Act 2 begins on page 2148, and act 3 on page 2659 (remember that act 1 begins on page 1901, so those numbers arent so intimidating). Act 1 is almost all childish and light hearted hijinx.

Yep, that definitely has a Grand Forks feel to it. One step lower than Fargo's hick feel, altho that voice over guy is better than the guy who does almost all the voiceovers on the local TV ads here.

My buddy tried to get me into Magic a few times. We worked together and during breaks he would explain all the rules to me and how to play and a bunch of other stuff. It sounded pretty interesting, but I never got around to it. Same with Dungeons and Dragons. He was pretty into both of those but I just never took the time to join him.

But I also remember a bunch of 20-30 dudes who would take over the first floor lobby of my dorm last semester and play Magic for 10-12 hours every Saturday. That was...a bit crazy.

So, my old high school's top choir was invited to the American Choir Directors Association's national conference. One of 4 High schools in the nation invited, first MN high school since the 80s to go.

So I've been unemployed for 6 months.. been trying to get a new job the whole time.

Email after email with the words "unfortunately" in it are starting to become very disheartening.
