John Michael Liles

I'm not stating that Toronto is interested in trading him, but Toronto does seem to have a lot of defensemen on the roster, especially with the emergence of Gardiner. I think he would be a perfect fit in Detroit and they need a puck moving defensemen. What would you consider his value in a trade to Detroit ?

Next to nothing, another terrible contract left by Burkie.

Lol he's a buyout candidate. If a team gives up a 5th, I'd jump all over it.

He is a leaf so his value is horrible.

Honestly I like him but a 2nd/prospect would prob get him.

You could have him for a 2nd round pick. Consider it a favour for a favour. He's very expendable to the Maple Leafs

Wouldn't surprise me if he went for a low key prospect and a third. Probably could net a second at the deadline.

If you didn't score last night you are a bum. scored last night you are amazing and we are going to win the cup.

Liles has shown nothing to prove he doesn't belong on a team that is playing defence well and winning.

Most Leaf fans just want to make a spot for Gardiner and go with youth. Which makes sense. Gunnarson is also on his way back and is younger and cheaper.

Not that much, maybe a 2nd/3rd rounder but apparently that's still more than the Leafs value Gardiner

I'm pretty sure Colorado would want him back, 2nd and a prospect?

At this point, he's our 3rd best defenceman. There's no reason for the Leafs to be prepared to get worse at this point in the year.

He's playing well and there isn't any sense in dealing him. He's also signed to a fair contract but we have a lot of D depth in the farm which might make it easier to deal him.

Won't be a deal for the sake of one. A 2nd would have to be included.

I rather we wait until next season to see if Reilly is ready or not. As it is he is playing well and his contract is pretty good. If Morgan needs a year with the Marlies then it will be nice to have JML on the roster.

This is from the same fan base that booed HoFer Larry Murphy out of town before he went on to win multiple cups with you guy.

I agree. Good player on a decent contract. Not this offseason but next offseason I could see him getting moved

To be fair Murphy was playing horribly, it's not like he was one of the teams better players. Not saying he deserved to be booed out of town but your comment about him being a HoFer and headed to multiple cups is irrelevant to the type of hockey he was playing in Toronto at the time.
