Jets will entertain offers for the 9th overall selection.

The Eagles may possibly want to trade the 4th overall pick.

I don't think we're technically even started yet until the Super Bowl ends, and then we actually start drafting after the Combine. I really wouldn't expect/allow trades until the final order is set, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Green Bay is looking to trade any of its picks + one of Jordie Nelson/Randal Cobb/James Jones for an established CB/FS/SS

Also, for anyone reading this without a team, I would be interested in picking up an Assistant GM for the draft with some knowledge of draft prospects not in the SEC

So, do we start on Monday or after the Combine?

Combine

I say FOTS can pick any time in the combine he wants and we'll go clockless until that ends.

The combine starts the 23rd so unless there are any objections FOTS can pick starting then with no clock until the end of the combine on the 26th. First pick will be due 11:59 pm on the 27th.

Any other suggestions?

I'm really glad we waited until after the Combine, because I still have no idea what I'm gonna do at #2 and I'd be surprised if FOTS knows for sure what he wants to do at #1. This is such an odd draft, because the "top end" talent isn't really there this year at first glance. Depth this year at least.

Is everyone ok with trading opening up at the start of the combine?

Should not allow trades. Makes the whole thing silly and pointless.

Well, trades happen during the draft. In the Top 10 last year that's all that was going on.

Things like trading star players doesn't though. That's where the line should be drawn. I think it's pretty safe to say DeMarcus Ware won't be traded. Nick Foles could be though.

Yeah, I guess. But arbitrarily changing rosters and draft order with faux trades sort of undermines the mock. But whatever.

If we have no movement of picks it isn't a realistic draft

There will be teams moving down/up thru entire draft

Yeah, this isn't mock offseason. It's one thing to trade draft picks and such, but this isn't fantasy world. Demarcus Ware isn't being traded.

Players have generally always been allowed to be traded, but I wouldn't have an issue if we made it picks only. Whatever works for you guys.

I'm all for trading picks. Leaning towards no to trading players as it could get out of hand.

I agree, moving picks around is part of the game but don't favor including roster players.

I will reverse my stance if Detroit agrees to send Suh to Seattle.

I understand that but it could get out of hand. Next you know Tom Brady is playing for Buffalo and Adrian Peterson got traded to Arizona for boatloads of draft picks. Sometimes people get too trigger happy and make trades just for the sake of making them.

Pick for pick trades are sacrosanct.

If we do player trades we should have some provisions for realism.

I've never seen this happen. Everybody is usually pretty reasonable and aren't dealing away a bunch of picks for star players. What would be the point in signing up for a Mock Draft and then trading away all of your picks? It's usually backups with starting potential for a 3rd or 4th or something along those lines. I understand what you're saying though, if somebody were to abuse the privilege it kinda bungs it up for others.

EDIT: For the sake of keeping the draft moving along and since most picks are dealt right before their actual time to pick, a consensus "veto" probably wouldn't work for a crazy trade, so maybe we have whoever is running the draft(Hasbro?) act as a sort of commish with vetoing powers if we think it'd actually be an issue?
