Not bad, not saying I hate it but I think Backlund fits well with the speed of Hudler and Cervenka and Stajan and Stempniak have a real chemistry when shutting down other teams lines. We should be rewarding effort and production and I just can't see sticking Stempniak on the 4th after the way he has played to start the year, as long Stempniak plays the way he has he is in the top 9 (for me).
I know, I don't really like Stemps on the 4th line either but if he gets outplayed by Sven then I think its the only option. Backlund I think looked good with Sven in the season opener, and since Stajan did well with the Czechs that could be a good option. This of course is the problem with having 10 top 9 forwards, but i don't think its a bad problem to have.

Yea.. I've liked Horaks play yesterday and before he got sent down but theres simply no room for him, its either we dump him on the 4th line or in the AHL, and I think its better for him if he goes to the AHL.
Don't see us moving Stempniak as we will almost certainly need him for depth if we are playoff hunting, look at our recent injuries.
If we can get a 2nd for Stemps i'd do it in a heartbeat (who knows, Gaustad apparently is worth a 1st).. Horak looks like the perfect player to call up if there's and injury so I can see us maybe moving him if we get a good return.

If he keeps this up he could get more than a 2nd at the deadline from a team desperate for some offense.
Especially a team like Pittsburgh which only needs a couple small pieces to be the cup contender.
I have to think there might be some bigger fish Wingers on TD Day though...
Normally I would agree but in the shortened season almost no team will look out of it on deadline day and so Perry and Iginla most likely won't be available. I think if we add a late pick we could get a late first or if we add a player like Butler with the late pick we might even be able to get a good prospect like Maatta, it just depends on who is looking for offense and who else is available.

If the Ducks can't sign Perry I imagine they try to move him.
If we got Maatta for Stemps I would be pretty jazzed. Don't think he would return quite that much though. A 1st, if the stars align is possible though.

I used Maatta as an example if they got real desperate, also given how well the Ducks are playing no way they move Perry, they are the 2nd best team in the west and Perry hasn't even caught fire yet, they are going to be a very dangerous team I think they risk losing Perry if they have a chance at the cup.

The Ducks have a history of moving their best (unsigned) players, even if the team is playing well. Pronger as an example.
All I want is a win and to eat cake with Blake Comeau for his birthday. But Because he is in PHX and centering either the 1st or 4th line.....I don't think I will get to do either.
In the end......it's always fun to watch the team fall apart in front of our backups backup... backup.

Would not shock me at all to see him moved.
I would be shocked to see them move Perry, the Ducks barely made the playoffs with Pronger it was clear that they need some youth this year they a #2 they aren't going to risk ****ing that up. Also Pronger was moved in the offseason not the deadline.
What does your dad say? He's 4-0 so far, or at least i think.
2-1-1.
I think he's 2-2, but he still claims he never said 5 goals for calgary in the St.Louis game, he just said 5 goals. I'm giving him the 2-1-1 because of it.
