With his goal today, David Musil as scored a point in 7 of his last 8 games including 4 goals.
He might actually break his rookie point total this year.
Stumbled onto a rumor on eliteprospects.com that a bunch of SEL teams are after our prospect Erik Gustafsson. I guess players can transfer from the Allsvenskan to the SEL.
I watched a game he was playing a while ago and the expert commentator (Leif Strömberg, old coach) said he thought Gustafsson had been the best defenseman in the whole league (Allsvenskan).
Prolly a bit of an exaggeration, but it seems he does something right atleast.
I didnt watch Gustafsson specifically, but it seems he likes to jump into play and get quite a bit of scoring chances.

He's got 22 points, 50 pims and is +11 in 45 games so far this season.
Sounds like he's doing something right.
Seen him a couple of times this season, he's been either pretty average or flat out bad, but maybe I've seen him at his worst. He's pretty good offensively with ok skating but when I've seen him his defensive game has been way below par. He was injured early in the season so that might have had an impact on his play though.
If he ends up with Frölunda it should be good for his development, they've hired Roger Rönnberg who's coached the swedish WJC team the last couple of years. Good coach who's used to working with young players so it's probably a good place to go for a youngster.
OT, but how the hell do you do that? The L and S are nowhere near each other! You, sir, continue to impress me.

On topic, Tuohimaa started in Espoo against Blues on Wednesday, he made 32 saves in a 2-1 win for Jokerit.
Rieder was back on the ice. No points on Friday as the Ranger's pretty much played one of their worst games of the year. He did have a goal and an assist yesterday.
Zharkov had another 2 goal night. He has 6 goals and 10 points in his last 7 games. 7 goals and 12 points in his last 10.
The Bulls added a couple of solid offensive centers and shipped away the guy who took his spot on the 1st line at the deadline, so he's been getting better ice-time with much better offensively capable linemates and has started to produce some consistent results.
Well, at least one of our goalie prospects is clearly too good for the ECHL.
Sigh.
Olivier is putting up some dominant stats so far since his call down. He's still relatively young, I think we'll see Hovinen Roy pairing in OKC next year fighting for starts.

Yeah, Roy is doing great in the ECHL. It's just seeing Bunz's numbers in the ECHL that's so unfortunate.
Roy for me is future perfect NHL backup... he will play his 20-25 games really well and steal a few... but does not have the size or stamina to do more...
We hope Dubnyk is the guy who is the starter... one of Bunz Tuohimaa Perhonen turning out would just be gracy...
Okay bust might a little much this early in his career, but signs are definitely pointing heavily to that area. Remember in that very same year Quick put up 2.32 GAA and .922 SV% in the AHL. Bunz has got to start adapting very quickly here.
