I would see it like this currently:

Michalek - Spezza - Turris
Latendresse (someone else?) - O'Reilly - Alfredsson
Smith/Condra - Da Costa - Silfverberg
Greening - O'Brien/Smith - Neil

Next year replace Latendresse with someone...and Alfredsson with Silfverberg depending (maybe Perry )

Not only that but Turris was quite effective as a winger with Phoenix, and on top of which he has shown some good chemistry with Spezza when they are on the ice together. Turris could easily develop into the sniper with the hockey sense to keep up with Spezza.

Muckler forgot to send him a qualifying offer.

Bishop with another quality performance. As much as I wish we could retain him, he's going to make a good 1b goalie for someone else.

Just hoping the return is as good.

Seeing Bishop getting the start this afternoon, I could help but think that they were maybe showcasing him for a trade. It inspired me a little trade with a team that might need a futur goalkeeper and have a attacker who might be too much paid.

Ben Bishop, and a prospect for Paul Stasny. He has two years left on his 6.6 milions contract. I don't think he's worth it. Varlamov sucks, and the GM who traded for him is obviously stupid. It might worth to call him.

I think we need attack bad, much more than a defenceman.

Sign me up.

Nice to see Palushaj doing well in Colorado. That was a great move to pick him up off waiver from a deep forward group in Montreal.

I'd do this pretty easily.

While ROR is an attractive asset, Zib, Wiercoich and a 3rd round pick is over payment for this proposal.

Primarily due to the fact O'Brien is an asset the Sens don't need and a UFA in 2015.

O'Brien is solid, and he's a body we could use for this season after sending Wierchioch over to Colorado. A ufa in 2015...that's still another 2 years after this season?

It would be worth it for ROR.

I'd rather keep both and accept O'Reilly isn't coming here without Cowen, Zibanejad or Turris going the other way. ROR isn't the difference between this team making the playoffs and being a lottery team without Karlsson /sad fact.

We'd be lucky if Zib becomes as good as ROR.

We'll agree to disagree. I think Silfverberg is better now (clearly) and will be better in the future.

I disagree. ROR really could make a big difference on this team. Just watch us the last few games...we can't really score, and he will help with that. Zibanejad isn't helping...add in his defence to our already sound defensive system and great goaltending and we could easily squeak in or keep afloat until Spezza is back again. Maybe move Bishop for some offensive help on the blueline and we become dangerous again especially with the effort level.

We know because Turris has played the wing before and he was very effective there. He would be perfect with Spezza and it's a cheaper option than trying to trade for an established elite winger.

Turris hasn't played much at wing, hedging our bets on O'Reilly and hoping Turris turns into a goal scoring winger (something he's never once been) is way too risky. We need a goal scorer. ROR is more of the same, another defensive minded player who sees the ice well. Stand pat and wait for a guy who can put the puck in net.

I'd also make a move for another top 4 D before contemplating another center. We're set at that position.

Zibanejad will be a better goal scorer than o'Reilly and actually play the wing. His ability on the flank isn't a hypothetical, it's something we've actually witnessed.
