Is it really that outlandish?

Glencross is just as (if not more) valuable on the ice than the likes of Penner and Fisher, both of whom received a 1st and a conditional 2nd round pick, Penner also returned Tuebert.

Mix in the fact that Glencross is signed to a sweetheart of a deal while Penner and Fisher are overpaid and you have potential to Glencross returning more than either of them garnered.

Assuming a NTC is not a problem , could a deal around Kelly/Peverly and Stempniak work for the Bruins?
Both Kelly and Peverley are more consistent offensively then Stempniak, and both are key parts to the Bruins PK success. Peverley also already plays the wing.

Not sure why Boston would consider it honestly. Only wingers from Cgy that would make sense in Boston would be Iginla, Glencross, or Tanguay.

I don't part with Krejci for any of those guys. The only one I'd part with Koko for would be Iginla, and even then I'd first look for cheaper options that might turn out to be more then straight rentals.

Right now Krejci > Iginla.
I'm not sure what this opinion is based on. Is it just because Krejci is younger? Because he plays center? I can understand that reasoning, and that what obviously give him better trade value overall. If you're saying right now Krejci is a better player than Iginla I don't see it. Iginla has put up more points and more goals than Krejci since 08/09. Even this season Iginla is only 4pts back of Krejci, and he hasn't even gotten going yet.

The op favors the Bruins highly. The Bruins would want Iggy to play with Krejci/Lucic. Glencross is worth a first provided its a late 1st. I would give the Bruins first to get him. Subban has tremendous value as far as goalie prospects go, That being said he alone isnt enough to get Glencross. I think Subban is closer to 5 years away than he is 3.

You're making a fool of yourself.

In what world do 25 goalscorers, who kill penalties, are defensively responsible, and are signed to fantastic contracts not worth more than a first round pick?

I had to laugh last week when a Pens fan wanted to trade a 2nd for Stempniak. Nothing wrong with the value there, but then another Pens fan said "I'd rather trade it for Glencross". Well, no **** you'd rather trade it for Glencross, but you'll be adding your first in addition to that 2nd.

We will get Iggy at the deadline for much cheaper,he has to be tired of playing in calgary now for sure and is owed a shot at a cup that he won't get out there.

Glencross is easily on pace to destroy a 25 goal pace this year too. A lot of posters were saying it was luck that gave Glencross his 25 goals, and he couldn't maintain that pace. However, when you do it 3 years in a row, it ceases to be luck.

At 2.55 million, the price for Glencross is a 1st+.

It's nice to talk of Glencross and all, but he has an NTC and wouldn't even leave unless he truly hated it in Calgary. But he doesn't. He's the definition of a speedy, hard working winger who plays in all situations comfortably, and who is signed to a criminally low contract for it. But he loves it.

If others fail to see his true value, or would rather debate "why he isn't worth that much" in order to "bargain" his price down, they are simply fools.

Frankly I'm offended by this proposal. Glencross is worth way more than that. OP wants to fleece him for pretty much nothing, which wouldn't happen in his wildest dreams.

Easily. Glencross has the most trade value of anyone on our team. I think NHL GM's know the value of guys like him, Simmonds and Laich. Guys who do everything and who get you 25 goals are worth a ton. Especially if they are signed to 2.5m long term contracts.

Honestly though, Glencross proposals are a waste of time. He left 1.5 million on the table to stay on his ranch. He's not waiving for anywhere with the possible exception of Edmonton.

No from Calgary. I have zero interest in Knight, and a 2nd can be obtained elsewhere.

Iginla could still fetch a 1st+prospect, and Glencross is signed to an amazing contract.

As a Bruins fan, I'd trade a 1st for Glencross. Guy is dynamite and perfect for a spot alongside Peverly and Kelly.

I think Krejci is the better player right now. I think he is going to end the season with more points than Iginla.

Krejci is 26. I think his best point totals are yet to come, as in my experiance in Vancouver, our top players have generally hit there peak points wise at around that 26-29 range. (Sedins, Kesler, Burrows, exc.) Unless the player is a one hit wonder (Which Krejci has already proven he isn't) Krejci still has his best years ahead of him IMO.

Iginla is on the opposite end, declining. Tho at his peak he is a much better player than Krejci is/will be at his peak. We are talking about the here and now, and Krejci is the more valuable player, and I think he is a tad better atleast production-wise aswell.

I like him a lot, and would gladly take him on the Wings, but would be absolutely devastated if my GM ever gave up that much for a good 3rd liner/ middle 6 forward at 30 years old. Absolutely crushed.
