Top Shelf Prospects Top 30. Today I give an early look at the 2013 NHL draft with my top 30 rankings.
Is this how the draft board will look like this year?

UPDATE: Added the Honorable Mentions link.

Nichushkin is a pure winger. Really odd to see him listed as a Center. Even more so when that goes on inside the writeup..

"He is a big centre who can use patience.. "

really?

That looks like a good draft list and will probably be the way it ends up going in June's draft.

Barkov is a pure center, Lindholm can also play wing. Seems to be some kind of mix up

I agree. If the draft were to happen today I think this is the way it goes.

However, I can see a lot changing by June.

Tough call. A few teams: Columbus, Winnipeg, etc. would likely pass on Jones for a franchise center as they already have young talent on D.

What about the islanders.... With Strait out now. They have a good spot at winning the 1st pick.

Brian Strait is the one who was injured today not Mark Streit.

Reinhart-Jones would be a sick pairing, the Isles already have Tavares, Strome, Nino, Nelson up front

Nurse at 15 has me really excited for this draft.

Ya he is going to be a steal. Great all around tools. Surprises me that hes not more highly touted. Kid can produce play defense and fight.

I also feel that Domi is going to be an excellent player in the NHL. whoever drafts him will be getting a stud.

Wennberg not even in the honorable mentions? I like it! Hopefully the Wings can snag him in the 3rd round or even later.

Nichushkin I think is the most skilled of all the players in the draft.
