I'd take Crosby, Malkin, stamkos, giroux, kovalchuk, h. Sedin, Parise, and gaborik. He may be before gaborik. Idk. I don't like JT that much. He's overrated now.
Hahaha... OK you do that then....
JT is about the same as Kovalchuk now, and will only get better. Giroux, is highly debatable and JT's potential is sky high. I like JT's potential more than any player not named Crosby, Malkin or Stamkos; moreover, he's already better than a few of the players you listed. But go right ahead and go with that opinion; most everyone who knows a thing or two about hockey would disagree.
My favorite thing about Crosby this season are the PGTs. will have a handful of people saying, 'gosh, Crosby just doesn't seem the same, wish he'd do this, wish he'd do that, shake off that rust, etc etc etc..."
John Tavares is good, but 115 points? He has yet to be a PPG player in this league, even though he came close last year, while Crosby has been a 100+ player ever since he stepped into the league at 18 years old. You just cannot compare the two.
Add on top of that the fact Tavares is arguably playing with better line mates with the Isles, I don't see how he suddenly drastically improves his career high because of Duper and Kunitz.
Tavares is an elite player, and is fast becoming one of the best players in the game today. Saying that, Crosby is far, far better than him. Crosby is a generational talent, and saying that Tavares doesn't have the potential to be nearly as good as Sid one day is certainly no slight at him.
