Usually a crosscheck from a gutless player can do that to people

Unexpected cross checks from behind on ice can do that to people.

I really hope someone can get some youtube on the go, as they were very very soft diving calls. I even thought the second penalty was from his hit, not from getting crosschecked in the back multiple times.

I wouldnt call him a super pest. Hes a solid bottom 6er that finishes every single one of his hits but he really hasnt acted like that big of a pest. Some leaf fans on the Toronto board even say they expected more pest like play from him. How many teams have went after him because hes pissed them off... only game I can think of was Montreal blowout where Prust did.

Solid bottom 6er who finishes a lot of hits but hes not in the super pest category

There was one in the Bruins game..Chara went after him, and got himself a roughing penalty. But yeah, he's a good bottom 6'er.

Also, I guarantee there are more Komarov's in Europe that are untapped. My team has 5 pylons and Tyson Barrie in defence atm (and Hunwick who's just awesome). I guarantee if they signed 2-4 dmen from Europe right now even if they're three quarters as good as Emelin, we'd be a better club atm.
Lupul and Frattin drop him to the 3rd or 4th line. Injuries are taking their toll but hes played his role well.

Komarov is looking good.

There are a lot of Leafs threads on the main board.

Facts.

I didnt say anything about the diving, but most Leaf fans who fought the diving argument did in fact say there is a case that can be made for the first dive.

I think he is a lot more honest than many NHL players.

For the record, I would love his game without the diving. Absolutely one of those guys you hate until he is on your team.

But diving is unacceptable, especially from guys who are agitators.

Not to be a Buzz Killington, but isn't there already a Leafs toughness thread?

Meh, at any rate, yes he's a pretty pesky guy. Good you guys are getting tougher.

Where was that sniper on the crosscheck from Gudbranson? I thought he had two blatant dives.

This thread came first, so ehh.

Anyways, I like that Komarov admitted to the first dive. More honest than most would be about it. Love his play so far.

lol no worries.

I'm not totally opposed to diving myself, i mean if you can help your team out and snag a PP no one can really complain. You're right though, admitting it is somehow pretty cool with me. I appreciate honesty far more than anything else in this game. Sometimes you do what you have to do to help your team win games. Toughness is a great thing to have as a hockey club IMO and with a few tweaks here and there it seems like you guys have a bright future.

This has turned into a diving thread. We have one of those already; a sticky at the top of this forum. Closed.
