This won't go over big in habs land but i'd give you Markov for a first rounder but you don't have one so that won't work. Maybe Markov and a fourth for Kreider.

Other than some offensive prowess, he is decent defensively. Physical, but not going to throw any major hits. Good skater, especially for his size.
I think he's pretty much what we need.

What's the cost?

Yes to Aucoin. I'm interested in Babchuk too.

Nooo. We all know Markov is overdue to go on IR.

Pass on Kaberle, offered a 6th for Weber and some habs fans took it on the spot. I think I heard a couple of them snicker.

Prospects or picks might work, or, young bottom-6 talent.

Kreider would be my first choice...though it might have to be Braun + to get that done....

Justin Braun is intriguing, he is what the rangers need, a mobile #6 dman who won't embarrass himself for 8-10 minutes a game.

Yeah sorry, didn't know what I was thinking. A 34 year old playing on a surgically TWICE rebuilt knee for a 21 year old 6-3, 220 pound speed demon with a knack for clutch goals and big hits. Must have been a brain freeze.:sarcas m:

Yeah, Kreider is not happening. They didn't trade him for Rick Nash, but they'll trade him for Justin Braun? Come on, you're better than that.

How about Ryan McDonagh? He had 30 ES points last year, which was 7TH IN THE NHL amongst defenders and he got almost no power play time. I don't think he's seen the power play once this season. I think it's time they start putting him there.

The Anton, its going to cost a lot probably along the lines of Richards+Gaborik+Nash++ But it is worth it for a player of that quality

We would have to throw in Lundqvist too
And some of our 1st round picks (past and future)
I know I know
We would not be worthy of Antons presence in NYC anyways
Too bad though...

He's seen the powerplay, but it hasn't been very consistent. He's had a few games with a couple minutes of PP time, a few with 30 seconds to a minute and a few with nothing. I agree that he should get more of a chance, though. He had a beaut of an assist on Miller's power play goal against the Isles a few games back.

I want to see McD and MDZ on the ice together with the first unit and Staal/Stral on with the second unit.

Problem is I'm having trouble identifying players that fit this mold.
Visnovski, Souray, Gonchar are who I can think of at the moment. What players on your teams fit this mold and what are you asking from us in return??
Maybe Whitney from the Oilers . I am not sure of your cap space . He is a UFA ,you may be able to sign him cheap . The Oilers may have to retain some of his salary this year to do a deal .
What do the Oilers need to add to get a Center back (Boyle)

Diaz. Hes 5th for dman points, young, cheap contract. Do you have a good playing physical D with fair value. Or a ready to play a top6-9 powerforward?

I am still not sure why the Rangers haven't just traded for Weber out of Montreal. Guy would help the PP and is still young.

Although Gilroy has looked good.
