Clowe is quite a bit older. Depends on situation.

For a team thats playoff ready now, Clowe.

How is this even a fair poll? McGinn is a lot younger than Clowe so people will vote for that alone. A better poll would be who will have the better career in the end.
I seriously doubt McGinn's peak will ever be near Clowe's peak.

McGinn wouldn't fix any of the problems the Sharks currently have...

Yeah, and Clowe's 0 goals does. He has easily been our worst forward this season.

People need to understand in a season with no preseason, and with some guys not playing, some guys are going to get off to slow starts. I just don't see McGinn having the same impact in a season as Clowe is likely to have in at least a few more years. I almost always take the better player, the age gap would need to be rather hige for me not to. McGinn has been impressive considering his pedigree/history, but i don't think he's the guy driving the bus on his line (Duchene is terrific) and it sure is looking like an outlier (although Glencross' happen). Colorado should be pleased but i think the clock is likely to strike midnight at some point on McGinn, despite a so far excellent stink as an Avalanche. Clowe>McGinn is no insult, and the fact this is even a poll is a testament to how far he's seemed to come.
