After reading around some London Knights message boards (here and other), it really seems like most think that Stolarz will be, and should be, the #1 goalie heading into the playoffs.

He's had 3 straight great games now.

Why do you think Harper will be re-signed? He seems pretty average offensively, with little upside. Defensively he seems to be barely serviceable at the AHL level. I'm not an expert on Harper, that's just my casual obervation.

Yeah, I don't see a real need to keep Harper around. You don't hear about him having an outside shot at being a player or even so much as being in line for a call up. Only reason he would need to hang around is if they think he can be a good AHL player, but he doesn't need to be on an NHL contract to do that

you can sign Harper to an AHL contract, but he definitely doesn't deserve a two-way NHL contract

Most of the players playing in the AHL for the flyers dont need 2 way contracts most of them stink.

edit-beaten to it

Based on nothing except someone on here saying Phantoms management loves Cullen Eddy I think he will be re-signed to an AHL contract.

Thanks Larsson looks promising he has a mean streak and likes the rough stuff.Dont know about Vasiliev i thought he was coming over to North America i read some where.

Both are young so no big rush but both could end up being something

Vasiliev was rumored to be coming over earlier this year to play in the USHL.

Larsson stated this summer he plans on coming over to play in the CHL for 2013-2014 season.

Team really likes him. I can tell from reading what beat guys are saying and Murray that even though he plays sparely they really like him. That being said Ill admit that I did forget about AHL contracts for some real. He will most likely be signed to that.

Dont confuse me with actually thinking hes a good player. I actually think he should be in the ECHL. Just basing my guess off of what the phantoms team management said.

Larsson is a bit of a project as he's only got about 40 J20 games under his belt- not many for a 19 year old 4th round prospect. Brynas is a very good club. It will be tough to crack crack the senior team.

Not that it really matters but he has a decently late birthday. He will turn 19 in July so he is still 18.

That being said, first time I heard the CHL thing also.

My fault I was going off the top of my head. Flyers tried to get him to come over after the draft and play in juniors. Larsson wanted to stay for this year and reevaluate after that.

Yeah should have said 19 year old season since he's a 94.

For comparison Christian Djoos who was drafted in the 7th round by Washington plays in the same program was born in August of 94 and played 40 games with the J20 team last year. This year he's been a full time player for the senior team and also played for Sweden at the WJCs. He's obviously ahead of Larsson on the developmental curve and more in line of the curve of an NHL player. It doesn't mean he's better, or will be better (they're different kinds of players), but it just shows Larsson has a bit longer to go.

For his hockey development, it would be best for him to come play major junior next season.

One thing I'm unclear about is if the 4 year window for signing European prospects extends to guys drafted this past year or if its only going forward. If it applies to guys already drafted then he would probably be best served staying over there and taking it slowly. I also wonder if guys could play their final year of junior hockey in NA and then continue to play in Europe and still fit in that 4 year window.

Agreed.

I'm not sure. I'm still trying to learn all these new rules in the CBA. I'm thinking its probably for the 2013 draft and beyond though.

I thought I read somewhere that the new agreement with Sweden meant that we had his rights longer.

To be eligible for the CHL, he'd have to be picked in the import draft, which the Flyers should be able to arrange via the Hunters or Russ Farwell or Stothers.

That is absolutely atrocious, I can't believe a pro team would wear such a horrible jersey.
