Agreed... that's why it would have been important to rack up more than 7 regulation plus overtime wins by now with the easy schedule against weak opponents.

The "The Leafs are becoming the toughest team in the league" thread on the main boards is hilarious. What spawned this rash of delusional threads?

Wait till the Bs play them. Watch how passive the Bs will be.

The Leafs do have a great balance between skill and toughness now that Kadri has been given a chance and since McLaren was picked up. They are making the playoffs as long as injuries don't destroy them.

I think goaltending is still the wildcard in Toronto. I do think they will make the playoffs though.

Leafs were down 2 top 6 F and we could only put one up vs 'em.... Orr and McLaren were very quiet that night, but we certainly did not go near them...

Will be interesting...should be good games...Bruins better be up for the physical end...Skill wise we should dominate them, but we will see.

I can say atleast we will enjoy watching the Jays leave your Red Sox in the dust this year. Cheers guys!
Who cares ?

I only really care about the B's.

Are you talking about the B's? The same team that's off to it's best start in franchise history, without even hitting their stride yet. Just checking.

Pretty irrelevant when 4 out of 13 games have gone to OT, which didn't exist prior to 1982. 3 out of 13 games have gone to SO, which didn't exist prior to 2005.OTL point didn't happen until 1999.

Best winning percentage in east, no matter how you try and spin it. Didn't we hold your team to what was it, 0 goals? Yeah I'm pretty sure it was. Talk when you're not the only team in league to miss playoffs from lockout to lockout.

So getting a lot of points is important because of the weak schedule. Yet, the fact that the Bruins did, in fact, get a lot of points in those games is now somehow irrelevant?
But the way points counted back in the 90's is somehow relevant now?

You know how most people realize when they contribute nothing to a conversation & are useless in their environment so they back away & find something more suitable for them?

Yeah, you should become more like one of those people.

The point is that the Bruins have as many ROW as the 10th place team. If the Bruins don't finish 1st in the division, then it's a pretty important stat to follow.

To be fair, it's unlikely they do. ROW are important for tie breakers but even then I think bruins make playoffs and do alright.

And we lost a 7 game series with each game decided by 1 goal, an NHL record in 2012.

What does this have in common with what you just said? Neither have anything to do with their record in 2013.

LOL. They're also 5 points ahead of that team with 4 fewer games played.

What's the trophy for best ROW again?

Love this line from that main board thread
"The only thing the Leafs do quietly is miss the playoffs. Everything else they do is loud and obnoxious."

Yes because playing fewer games has absolutely nothing to do with anything right. I like to be positive, they aren't playing up to par, but yet continue to find ways to win. That's a good sign to me, not a bad one.

Fan or not I don't like all these negative Nancy's around here. Seems as though even if B's had held onto leads against Buffalo, he'd still find something to complain about. Also, I don't recall Boston being shutout yet this season.

How is his comment more irrelevant than telling us when OT and SO came into the league? I understand that ROW is important for the standings...
