Brodin. I think Larsson is more offensively gifted right now but Brodin is elite defensively and among the best skaters in the league. Once he starts to develop his game in the offensive zone more with experience, we could be talking Norris candidate every year almost.
But Larsson is a fantastic player as well. Hopefully he can stay healthy in his career. Both are going to be great players no matter what.
Brodin has played 10 games in the NHL and he's already elite defensively?
Boy, am I ever glad I wasn't around these boards when Myers was in his rookie year.
What about a straight answer, do you think Brodin's playing elite defence ?
Not sure if he's elite in the NHL quite yet but he is elite for a prospect as he leads all rookie defensemen with 7 takeaways with using only 4 hits, 1st in rookie defenseman ES time with 18:16 (2nd in average ice time behind Justin Schultz), and is the Wild's #2 PK defenseman, next to Ryan Suter. Also the established playing partner with Ryan Suter (look likes they are having some chemistry together).
