I disagree. I actually think March is when we will roll.

We have not faced "great teams" thusfar but we have faced pretty ****ing good goaltenders. Lundqvist 3 times, Miller 3 times and Price once. In March we finally see some rubbish goaltending on the schedule. Caps, Panthers, Flyers, Penguins...

The only tough games I see on the March schedule are the Penguins (twice) and the Jets (who for some reason we have a tough time against). We play 16 games in March and I think anything less than 12 wins will be under achieving. I fully expect this team to be 24-7-2 at the end of March and be 6-8 points clear in the division.

This Leafs/Bolts game is like watching an intrasquad scrimmage. So hard to tell the teams apart. What possessed the Lightning to make this color scheme change?

Nash sustained a nasty hit from Boston's Milan Lucic last Tuesday in the team's 4-3 shootout win over the Bruins. Nash's head smashed against the glass after Lucic drove him into the boards, although there was no penalty on the play and Nash remained in the game.

A source indicated to ESPNNewYork.com that neither Nash nor the club was happy with the Lucic hit on Nash and felt the Bruins' physical forward should've been penalized on the play.

Nash showed no outward ill effects, however, and played against the Islanders last Thursday at Madison Square Garden.

Nash then missed a season ticket-holder event on Friday due to "illness" and did not practice on Saturday, for what the team characterized as a "maintenance day."

He was then questionable for Sunday's game, causing there to be rampant speculation that Nash's injury or illness might be related to the Lucic hit.
Wah, wah, wah.....

The second coming to goaltending has been scored upon in Tampa Bay! Cue the Mayans!

Err...I mean Vinny Lecavalier scores on Ben Scrivens. Bolts up 1-0. City of Toronto cancels the parade.

St. Louis has ten different players that have a power play goal.

Le sigh.

34.5% PP success rate right now.

Thirty-four (point) five percent.

I think Pierre's ultimate fantasy would be getting his head rubbed by Dougie and Pietrangelo at the same time.

How does a team with MSL, Stamkos, and Lecavalier not score every time they are on the PP?

NHL powerplays are a hell of a lot harder to operate than fans like to think. It seems to be one of the most popular thing fans are unhappy with is their team's powerplay. NHL penalty killers have gotten damn good with how everybody blocks shots now and such. Also it can be difficult to look at personel and predict who is good on the powerplay and who isn't. It isn't as simple as all good offensive players are great powerplay players.

The Buffalo Sabres continue to lose to everybody that isn't the Boston Bruins despite Evander Kane shooting it right over the empty net from inside the blueline.
