White made a few nice play... the kid has some good hockey in him. He's much better when he's all business. I hope he'll have learned from his experience...

I have to give love to my man Eller, he was overshadowed by Prust being awesome and Galchenyuk getting that goal, but he had another fantastic game. He made some stupid plays but overall he was better than Plekanec (who was stuck matching up against Richards) tonight.

While I think his benching at the beginning of the season was harsh, Therrien seems to have known how to push him to pick up his physical play.

That's what I like about Therrien this season. He scratched Eller one game, Eller started playing a lot better, gets PP time. With Martin, a third liner would never get the chance to play on the PP.

Yep, exactly.

Think about last year and Gauthier talking about mr. Markov and mr. Gionta and etc...

Plekanec was in the box and the faceoff was on the right side. White is also solid in the FO dot this season, so it wasn't necessarily a ''reward''. Just made sense.

Take back my comment concerning the 'reward' then.
Still think he's handled the White situation rather well.

One thing I don't like about Eller is that he ice the puck way too often but he has play a LOT better since sitting out. Not just better but he's one of our best forward game after game.

Dropped by to say Moen had an awesome game on the forecheck. He just never stopped hustling.

Good point. You're probably not thinking reward in that situation. Huge vote of confidence though.

He definitely makes some bad decisions with the puck, and that's why it's right to question just what his upside is, but I hope we don't give up on the kid, he's been one of our best players during this winning streak.

Starting in january was a good thing for our team. A new coach and it was easier to tell the players not to play for their score sheet and play as a team.

So now what does MT do when Gally is ready to return? You can't sit Whitey after his great play tonight, maybe Moen or Army? Tough decision. I'd sit Cole but you know that won't happen.

Therrien so far has been very good in his handling of players.

Subban = quickly become part of the team, no drama created, is now a important cog of our defense.
The Gallys = successful introduction to the NHL, both are happy and producing.
Eller = gets in the doghouse in the beginning of the season, suddenly get the hustle he had yet to demonstrate consistently since joining the team.
White = coming back from being benched, now seems to have his head at the right place.

And all that in a shortened season, without a real training camp.

Seriously. Who would have expected that? Not me. Therrien is doing a fantastic job especially compared to his last tenure. What experience can do...

I mostly agree, except for Subban's ice time. Markov is struggling at 23 minutes or so. I know he's tired but also think he's hurt.

Better to give those minutes to PK now and give Markov a break.
