While I think his benching at the beginning of the season was harsh, Therrien seems to have known how to push him to pick up his physical play.
Absolutely, this guy is slowly becoming the player we were hoping. I really like our new line of Eller-Galchenyuk-Prust.

Yep, that's his weakness for sure. But he's starting to learn to do the intangibles and his defensive play is getting impressive. He's developing a role for himself.

Question about Subban :

If he continues to play like that, is it possible to offer him a new contract as early as this summer to make a statement and scratch the current one. I know it wont likely happen but...

At least you picked a better guy than ****ing Brisebois. Good teammate but as a player on his 2nd stint...

I know. It was rope-a-dope hockey. No real fun to watch, but helped them from fading at the end of the game.

You can extend him as soon as July 1 but his salary will stay the same as it is scheduled to be for next season.

You should get a cut of the Prust money.

Great that he was the set up man to pay out his money.

We had like 16 shots on goal or something. Not really a stretch by Torts there. Ugly game.

Then I'd make a statement as early as possible. I doubt Subban would sit on his money and start playing bad...he's just not that type of guy

The Leafs GDT has become a Bruins one. They're all screaming to goon it up since they can't beat TB on the score sheet.

Was it me, or was the Cole line stuck in their zone for a large majority of their ice time? Every time they had the puck, they'd quickly lose it and it would quickly go back the other way. And stay there.

I'd hardly say that. We were out-shot and out-chanced. Habs just managed to bury most of their chances. By no means did they out play the Rangers.

Pains me to say this, but he was off tonight for sure. He made some really questionable first passes. Not something you hear in the same sentence as Markov too often. No secret why the PP is struggling too.
