Gotta give props to SK for setting that up and essentially taking out two Red Wings. Bad shot by Wilson....or great pass?
And that was a difficult shot by Weber. Open net...but he had to get there before the goalie and defenseman. I'm glad he was jumping up on the play.
Weber's offense is officially back. 3G 3A in his last 4 games.

I think we should get some kind of credit from the league. We've probably played what five extra games worth of play this season? That should give us a point or two in the standings

You're right about that. He's about as hard to separate from the puck as Jagr in his prime. Jagr is stronger on his skates, Datsyuk stronger with the stick. In my opinion, of course.

And? It's obvious that stick checking doesn't work.

That was a great game and great win by the preds in OT. Weber is back.
Datsyuk got them that point.

I really hate to give up a point to the Wings...but there's really no more of an excited way to win for the home crowd than sudden death OT.

In the last two games, we've scored 9 goals and let in 9 goals (8 real ones). For a team known for defensive prowess, this needs to be worked on.
But a win is a win.

Good game as well. As much as I'd like to say it was a one man show for Detroit, I was surprised (and, a bit unnerved) by how well your lower lines played.
But yeah...your D...sorry for ya.

What a huge win- it does suck to give them a point they probably didn't deserve, but after having a 2 goal lead and leading the whole game, that would have been a horrible loss. (I was in the middle of typing out a post saying how this would be a terrible loss when Weber scored- DELETE!)

Love when those types of situations happen.
And I'm now 1-1 in GDTs, woot!

Just a note:
Our first win while allowing 3 goals (1-4-4). In fact, our first win when allowing just 2 goals (that's a scary bad stat).

I gotta give the Wings credit- they are banged up and not nearly as talented overall as they are used to being, but they sure as heck know how to compete- they still scare the crap out of me......
