Turris just has no puck luck right now. Kid is working his tail off in every zone every time he's on the ice. The hockey gods aren't smiling on him right now though. Those pucks will end up in the net soon enough. He hit a post tonight off a nice re-direct off a Wiercioch shot.

I'm becoming a bigger Turris fan every game.

You and me both. I really liked the jump in his step too in the 2 on 1 with him and Alfredsson. I think he needs to have a bit more of a shooter's mentality there though. Turris has played very well for us.

I didn't notice until just now that Lundin didn't play.

I'm OK with that.

Turris definitely needs to look to get a shot off more often. Same goes for Silfverberg. Once defenders respect their shot, it will allow them to make more moves.

He didnt help with those concerns tonight.
Did you watch the final 20+ seconds?

Mostly because he used to be really good at that.
This x9000.

His indecisiveness is annoying at times also. Like when leading the rush into the offensive zone on the powerplay, and quarterbacking the point on it.

I know he's old now, but I guess I just expect him to be a little smoother in those situations.

Just wanted to say that Zmitty brought it last night.

One shift in particular he made a great feed to DD, then blew up somebody (possibly JT?) in the neutral zone, then took a hit to make a play to get it out of our end.

Agreed. He's working too hard on both sides of the puck for them to not be going in for him. I'm sure that'll change soon

If I'm counting right from the breakdown on 6thSense (ty btw) scoring chances favored NYI 20-13 this game. We capitalized and might not have been pressing too hard with the lead already but am I wrong in thinking that's a rather unfortunate number against one of the worst D's in the league?

Wiseacre Answer: 3-1.
