That game puck is last year's model. Probably explains the price. That's a good place to start because it's not the current model but there is plenty of stock kicking around.
Thanks for the feedback guys! It helps a lot! I'm looking into getting pucks to start a collection going since my Daneyko puck is lonely haha.
I found something like this that is really cheap, although I don't know if the quality is trustworthy? What do you guys recommend is a good place to buy game quality pucks?
I'd say go with the autograph pucks theres more space for the players to sign, and there a little cheaper.
He does maybe one per year. Pretty sure he is represented by JAG sports marketing. Look their page up on facebook to keep track. He hasnt done one yet this year
How is Scott Stevens about signing things in Jersey? I was just wondering because I met him before the game and he signed a Devils puck for me and I was quite surprised on how nice he was. he always seemed like hed be just as he was a player
I can't remember the last time he was under $30. That line is going to be ridiculous
when sports express closed 2 years ago. He went for 20 bucks an auto. Did it as a favor for Ron the owner as he closed his store a week later Sucks cause they were the only place in North Jersey to have them other than SMU (which is still a drive to the sticks)
I think it sucks that all these big name sports reps have these signings way to close to Philly territory. Who seriously wants to drive to Hazlet or Aberdeen or Freehold in rush hour traffic on a work/school night for an autograph signing. But it is all because they own or have some partnership with these places to begin with.
I have no problem driving to Hazlet on a week night.
I live 10 minutes from Hazlet.
Not sure what Philly territory means. Hazlet closer to Newark than it is to Philly.
meant more for the freehold, aberdeen reference. In an effort to avoid a convo of where the fans demographic is in terms of location, i will avoid saying what i want to say. Sucks that the businesses thats hold these events make very little money on these things, or else you would see them in more than one area.
It's basically free advertising. I didn't know that SMU, All American Ford, etc. even existed until they hosted some signings.
A Place like car dealerships who have em once in a blue moon i agree that it is free advertising for sure. But places that are memorabilia stores make little to no money on a signing. When Buddys Sports Corner had a Kovy signing 2 years ago, they sold out and barely ended up in the profit. Sports Express was the same thing, just kept loosing money. Just shows that these guys who run the bigger rep companies are doing something right by just reping the players and using these restaurants for their own venues

Contemplating doing the Marty signing April 2nd.. Do you guys think it will be worth it? I wouldn't mind making the trip and paying the price if it includes taking a pic with him, but I hear he's not into photo ops..
I miss the days of South Mountain Arena, when you could basically get the whole team in one shot, for free.
I think the last time I stood in line for autographs at one of these signings was 1995 when Holik/McKay/Peluso did a "Crash Line" signing at a store half a mile from my house.
I'm not affiliated with JAG in any way but I thought it was worth sharing the link, since they run some auctions through their Facebook and it's a good place to keep track of all of the upcoming signings.
Looks like Score is going in a different direction next year. 10 52 card packs. Each 10 pack box will have 2 autographs and a chance for an 8 way jersey card.

52-card packs? Damn, that's pretty much the whole base set in a box, although you obviously won't complete it in one box. Going to be a lot of rookie cards too because of the lockout. Got the Yakupov and MacKinnon classes in one set, I would imagine.
Probably going to double the price, don't you think? Maybe a lot more inserts than last year, which I don't really like.
I'm hoping it's about $50 a box but we'll see. One box will pretty much kill the base set so that should be easier this year.
The rookies are going to be interesting. There's going to be so many that they will rotate players in and out of sets. Yakupov and the other big names will be in every set but guys like Matt Anderson may only appear in every 3rd set or so. Although Scores says it will have more than 60. They like to do 50 plus shortprinted rookie so we'll see what they do.
Sounds like they're not adding many more, if any subsets. Very good news. But I guess the July sale date means the 2013 draft class won't be in this set. Regardless, sign me up for a box or two, although I could do without the Kreider cowgirl position card
Yea, my guess there will be an update set around January like they did for Josefson and Tedenby's rookie year. 2011 I think. If the price stays down and I'm able to flip the autographs for some money or a good amount of inserts in a trade this year could be easy. This is the first time I've also finished before the playoffs so I'll have extra cash/traders going into it too.
