No way I was reading all that, good lord. At the same time, good on the Avs for saving a few bucks and losing one of the few good players they have amirite?

TL;DR version:

Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven

No wonder he is self employed, that letter was written by a moron. I can't believe he didn't even proof read it before having it published. Not to mention that he doesn't say annoying of value in the letter, we get it, O'Rielly is a money first kind of guy, not a team player

I stopped reading when he started talking about human kind (6th or 7th line out of like 200). If the expression "Like father like son" holds true in this case, ROR will have a hard time signing a contract. I mean, what's the deal with this guy (his dad) ? Let him, his agent and the Avalanche FO take care of this. Meanwhile, go write a book about humanity and how our writing skills decay over time.

I couldn't even make it through two paragraphs without feeling like voices were screaming it my head.I skimmed the rest.

Let me sum up what I felt was the the gist "My son should have been given better opportunities because he's got good character(which I'm sure noone else on the team has) and has been cheated by your ignorant organization"

...Y'know what buddy? I'm sure your son has or will make some pretty nice money playing pro hockey and have opportunities many young people can only dream about. Pipe down and stop embarassing him.

...also, this reminds me Troy Crosby did something similar about 4-5 years ago when he was upset people might consider anyone else a better player than his son.

All of you have missed the diabolical genius that is Brian O'Reilly.

Like a modern-day Professor Moriarty, the secret is in the clues left by the capitalized letters in the middle of sentences, which, when arranged in order, spell:

AFLATAOIOCC

Which, when re-arranged....

...spell nothing of consequence.

I cant help but think About Tavares when I read this

"I cant help but think of Tavares when I read this
Character has to win out over skill that is why it takes a lot of skilled players a lot of losses to understand the character element of the game . When we call an athlete mature beyond his years what we’re referring to is his character they already have developed "

i want ROR on this Islanders...I would LOVE to see Mr.O'rielly Blast Wang and some of the things in this organizaton.

Wow..things are getting Ugly, with a capital U.

Matt Duchene has a ton of skill and a ton of character...if his dad was implying that Duchene doesn't have character, he should take a long hard look at how Duchene plays the game.

Duchene took a 3.5M deal and is now proving his employers how good of a player he can be for the Avs in the future. Make no mistake Duchene's next contract will be much higher than ROR will ever get in his life.

So O'Reilly has character, he's not holding out because of money, but he's actually just holding out because of money, which really says what about his character...?

I hope so. Duchene has more skills and more upsides. But you have to get the transition deal(unless you're a sure 100 points per year bet).

Please don't embarass the name of Professor Moriarty....one of the greatest villains of all time by comparing him to a hockey dad. But yes, maybe you're right and it's a tarp.

Hmmm nothing to do with:

Steve Downie - out for season
Gabe Landeskog - concussion
Erik Johnson - concussion
Ryan Wilson - ankle

Nahhhh it's not THAT on TOP of RoR holding out...it's JUST because of RoR holding out.
