I think it's a concussion due to the "flu-like" symptoms he was rumored to have after the Boston game. Tired, groggy, sounds like concussion symptoms to me. On top of that, for a groin they would keep him with the team. Concussions keep players away from planes.

Nash is a warrior, he would fight through anything in order not to seem weak. He wants to help the team win. But after the Washington game, he probably felt worse and realized (along with the Dr's) that he needs to take some time off.

If it's indeed a concussion from the Lucic hit, I will find whichever idiot allowed him to play against the Caps, and bad things will happen.

Then again, Marc Staal played for like two months before our wonderful team doctors realized he had a concussion.

Not always easy to figure out the difference between a concussion and headache until a couple of days later when you are tired and groggy with headaches.

If the team had any concerns about a concussion, why would they even think about letting him take warmups and playing v. the Caps on Sunday especially after the Staal debacle? You don't take warmups to test out a concussion and that's what they made it seem like by saying he was a game time decision.

They probably were unsure of what it was. Unlike a broken bone, a concussion has to be brought up by the player to the staff. Maybe he didn't think he had one and didn't say much, just that he wasn't feeling that great.

With our only forward who can carry the puck into the offensive zone out, that only means one thing-More dump and chase! Yeah baby!

If it is a concussion, this is the kind of thing that should get people fired whether it's Jim Ramsay or a team doctor.

2x in two years is beyond unacceptable.

New Jersey announced the extent of Stevens' injury the day he retired. He officially had flu like symptoms for a year and a half. I mean, get some Buckley's already.

Exactly. It's not an injury easy to diagnose. Especially the player/person Nash is, he isn't going to go whine to the staff and say he can't play. But he probably couldn't deny the feeling anymore since it didn't get any better.

Perfect example of another player not traveling with the team due to a head injury.

At least they are clear about what the problem is (unless its just speculation)
