Wouldn't it make more sense to just start us off asap with the actual rosters though? i mean last game it was understandable because the draft hadn't happened yet. I think redoing the draft would be weird because some of these rookies have played a handful of games for their teams now. They are on the team, I don't see why they should be taken away from the team. Just my 2 cents.
Didn't think of that. Apparently I'm pretty dumb

lol No you're not. It's honestly just what I'm feeling I think if more people want to do that far be it for me to disagree but just doesn't make sense.
question on the rosters. should we pull them from the same source? i pulled mine from nhl.com and capgeek but it should be consistent shouldnt it?
Pretty much, as long as your current roster and cap and prospects and picks are current and accounted for, you can use any site you like to make sure of it.
Never done one of these before, but I am thinking about it. I have a few questions if anyone has time to answer them please. Where do we look to see how the teams did after the sim games? Also, I would be responsible for keeping my team up to date correct? Then I would notify the commish of trades that are made to have them reflected in the sim games and make sure my teams cap stays below the max correct?

I will sim every few days, and post as many results as possible. Every 2 weeks or so I would do standings, every month or so, individual stats
After looking at the ratings on NHL 13 for the first time in a long time, I think we should wait until the next roster update. It doesn't look like there has been one since the season started. Just looking at my team, Brunner is rated 60 overall, and he has 8ish goals this season. It's been almost a month since the last update, so a new one should be out any time.
Hey y'all. So I think we should redo the draft. Yes some of the players have played with their teams, but we have access to the ratings too so really one advantage is balanced by another in that sense. More importantly though, for teams that are looking to rebuild using their draft picks in their own way can make a world of difference so I figure if we are going to take a little time to trade then we can at least sneak in a quick draft of the first few rounds.
Just my opinion, but I'm against it. I don't know why, but more of a realism affect in place with the draft.
Agreed and I think the trade committee rule is a great idea and would work just as well as it did last time. However who is going to be the player agents? Surely it wouldn't be fair to have people playing in the game working as agents.
