I can't tell what kind of seats they are though, it just says GA (General Admission). Is it just sit in the black and pick your seat? I don't get what GA means at a basketball game.

GA probably means there will be a whole area blocked off for the devils STH and it will be GA in that area. Really the only part of the seating bowl for SHU games that is GA is the student section, and they will not put Devils STHs there. That's only what they would do if they want to piss off everyone there for the perk

Seton Hall only uses the lower bowl for their games, so the seats will be good. If the $25 is half price for the seat, its probably either lower corner or around the club seats. I've only been to one SHU game this year (last week against UConn actually) and I bought a $28 ticket (face from ticketmaster) like 5 rows off the floor behind the net. Next to the press area for what its worth if anyone is looking at a ticket map. Tickets aren't that expensive for it, so if $25 is half price, its a pretty good seat.

Not sure if I'm around that day or I would love this perk. Partly being an alum/SHU fan, but also in general its probably a pretty good environment. Both teams are pretty crappy this year, but at least it should be competitive for whatever its worth.

I doubt they will be the black "club" seats, since they go for $80 and are mostly already sold to SHU alums.

Sections 6, 10, 17 & 21 got for $45 so chances this is where the seats will be located.
Or possibly in luxury suites.

Here is the TM map for that game, typically a RU vs SHU game sells out at The Rock.
With them both having miserable seasons you will notice a truckload of unsold seats.
Could be a fun night though if they dish out good food.

As a Rutgers alum, this is pretty cool perk. I might take advantage of it.

I miss the days when they used to practice at South Mountain. Sure made the whole autograph thing easy. Could get the whole team in a day back then.

If you get there early enough it might be.

Yes they will stop and sign on the way into the stadium as well, actually its a better time to go because you will probably be one of the only people there. Sometimes it gets crowded after the games.

But you would also have to get there super early, don't quote me on this but I would guess for a 7pm game the players have to be there by 4? IMO your much better off waiting the 45minutes to and hour after the game.

I know a few years ago I went before a game to try to catch the visiting team on their way in. They would often get there anywhere from around 4:15 to 4:50 or so. I would assume the home team probably gets there a little earlier, but much more staggered of course than a visiting team all on one bus. Odds are being there by/before 4 would be the best shot at it.

The Devils are tough on the way in because they are not accessible really. They don't really stop at the entrance and their door is on the side of the building. They can avoid fans very easily if they want to. Your best bet for the Devils is a morning skate or after practice on a non-game day. After the games can be hit or miss. (For example, Monday afternoon should have been a stinker because of the result of the game and the fact that players don't like to stop when they have their kids with them. As it turns out, 8/20 guys who dressed stopped.)

Reminder that post game fireworks takes up a lot of parking spots usually used for games.
If you drive leave a little earlier today.
Doors open at 3:30.
Or get a drink at one of the bars.

This is the website for bricks for the general public. You can probably use it as a guide.

Going to take a guess and say info on the brick comes in the offseason? There really is no point to do that now during the season with so much going on for them.

the latest development in the Devils vs. Newark Saga

not thrilled I may have to pay an extra $100 per year in "tax" to Newark for my season tickets, but I guess this is how things work

Hey sorry to cut in to your discussion, but I was just wondering- do you know if I can still order a brick (not a sth, just a fan)? will they install it? I'm not worried about timing or anything, I just don't know if they still install them

I would think so, especially considering the fact that they will be installing a whole bunch of new ones in the near future.

Does anyone know how the other STH benefits will work this year? The "Meet the Team" event, practice rink skate, penalty box sit in, zamboni ride-along etc... Devils have been pretty silent and understandably so because of the shortened season.

They usually send out the information to you in a letter. Whatever your "choices" were should have been sent to you already. So if you won the penalty box sit in or the zamboni ride, you should know about that.

As far as the "meet the team" we haven't received any word on that yet or anything on the practice rink skate.

I first read it as $1.37 per ticket for tenant events and got a little irritated. Then I re-read it and saw it was 1.37%. So, whatever. For me, it's like 13 bucks for the year for my seat. Sure, they continue to nickel and dime us with fees and taxes, but I guess that goes with the territory.
