Nashville Detroit has turned into a barn burner ... Datsyuk just went end to end, deked out the entire Preds team and scored to tie it up

Wow.

Victor Fasth, still without a loss in the NHL, gets a two-year contract extension from Anaheim.

How long is Hiller on contract for?

That's a great signing for the term and dollar amount IMO

How many coaches have the Leafs had since the Sabres hired Ruff in 1997? Carlyle is the fifth after Murphy, Quinn, Maurice and Wilson.

Great, we get to play the Sabres with a new coach and new energy. Wonder who the interim coach will be. Maybe Darcy Regier comes down for the rest of the year?

Thatīs what I am afraid of. We should offer Eakins more money and hope he takes it with a promise that he will get a shot at coaching the Leafs in a few years. I like Carlyle but I reckon long term Eakins is our coach.

MLSE can afford it, they just need to give him an offer they can't refuse .. Buffalo doesn't have that much money

Gonna be very strange to see a different coach behind the Sabres bench.

THEY BETTER NOT TAKE EAKINS!!!!!

Hopefully he feel comfortable about coaching the Leafs and turn Buffalo down even if it means he would become an NHL coach already this season.

He have been with the organization a long time and is now helping it shape itīs future. Hopefully he wants to be the one who one day reap the rewards from it.

Gotta think Regier is a dead man walking at this point. Pegula came in and gave him a blank cheque and he proceeded to spend it on ludicrous contracts for Erhoff and Leino, both got 4 million in signing bonuses for this year, not to mention the 5 million dollar bonuses they got last year. Even as good as Myers can be a 10 million dollar bonus for him is crazy.

On top of that he traded away Roy and Gaustad and decided they could be contenders with a 2nd year NHLer in Hodgson, a converted winger in Ennis and an 18 year rookie in Grigorenko as their top 3 centres.

Terry Pegula is a Sabres super fan worth 3 billion dollars. He could probably buy MLSE.

Sorry city of Toronto, but Eakins will be Buffalo property going into next season, unless you guys can Carlyle
