It was a real possibility on MTL last year, but he stepped down from candidacy if I remember correctly. Over on our boards, at the time, some of us (really not a majority or anything) were dreaming of Roy as coach, and us drafting Grigorenko, which you guys have done already. If there's one coach that absolutely knows how to manage him, it's Roy, and he is your franchise center.
Of course, the downside is that he is kind of a show on his own and your team might become a traveling circus... but I would take the risk, I think Roy is ready and he lost his toy in Quebec.
Interim Patrick or Rolston for the season so maybe we can stay in hunt for a lottery pick. Wait til seasons end to see what coaches become available and hire someone in the off-season, preferably before the draft.
Just wondering who would be interim coach for the remainder of the season, and who people think will be next in line for the Sabres coaching job? Would a good coach with a good back ground want to come here with the amount of talent on this team? I truly hope they get someone that can get it done and get these guys on the right track to some exciting and winning hockey again.
