Sucks for him but it was time for the Sabres to move on. He'll catch on somewhere else.

What is Cunney doing now?

I think he is collecting his paychecks from the Habs, sitting at home.

He got hired almost immediately iirc. Don't remember for what, though.

Miller got his coach fired, GG.

Teribble GMing and terrible attitude on that team.

Ruff is a great coach, I rarely feel bad after firings but this guy probably feels shell-shocked right now.

And how the heck can someone say that Randy didn't get a fair shot? I even defended him but he didn't change the system of the Habs whatsoever and didn't institute anything new... except a lower win%. Nice guy or whatever, fine but he really killed our season last year with his incompetence.

Gauthier and Gainey found new jobs very quickly... I still wonder why...

End of an era. On the bright side, maybe it'll get a bit easier to hate the Sabres now, I've always had trouble with that.

Time to move on and Ruff will get another job without too much problem. This might be a wake up call for him, he might realize he needs to change and adapt or risk the "Martin syndrome".

For many, many years Ruff's system has only two names: Hasek and Miller.

It's all a question of timing...but if a guy like Boudreau was able to find a job that quick, not sure why Ruff wouldn't be.

Oh and another reason why you shouldn't take for granted what GM's...coaches...or players say. Regier not that long ago saying Ruff was secured. Euh...no...coaches never are. Especially them.

Personnally, I have no confidence in Adam Oates....So Ruff to coach Ovechkin, Ribeiro and Co I say why not.

Laraque doesn't throw a stick, he sends faxes.

And got us Galchenyuk, so it all worked out in the end.

Pittsburgh has another hell of a start to a game. 2 goals in the first 10 minutes of the game.
