Yesterday I said that there was no way Buffalo was going to fire Ruff, and based on articles I could find from Buffalo, it didn't appear to be something immediate. Sure there are rumblings when any team loses, but 16 years, and then a loss to the Jets... and your gone.

Well, this will only make it more difficult for the Jets to win games now that all the coaches have been put on notice... Lose to the Jets and your done.

I'd be embarrassed. "It's not about the money"... but, ya, it's about the money. What a joke they're proving to be.

Matt Duchene said it best, play and prove yourself. You'll get a fair offer in the meantime.

Guys like O'Reilly clearly don't have the stones or faith that they could take a fair deal today in the 3.5 million range, 2 years, prove yourself, etc. If you do prove yourself, there will be a line-up of teams waiting and wanting to pay you.

Meanwhile, this is just killing what Colorado is going to get for ROR. I was talking to a buddy at hockey who is a Avs fan and he thinks they will get a top 6 forward, a prospect and a first rounder for him

I was going to argue with him, but if you are that detached from reality, there's not much anyone can say.

There must be some kind of DACA group or something - Dads Against Colorado Avalanche.

Remember when Stastny's (I think it was his) dad began going off when the Avs made that deal to trade away Chris Stewart? Saying it would set the team back years.

I'm loving it.
This is the type of fighting I totally endorse. Fans love it, the teams feed off it, and it occurs naturally.
If the Jets develop into a team with this type of passion/ attitude I'll be happy.

So happy McGuire left TSN. He's one of the most annoying people in all of sports broadcasting.

But PJ Stock is doing a good job annoying me on CBC Saturdays, vampire collar and all....

Great game going on between the Pens and Flyers.

And I personally disagree about Mcguire. I think he's awesome.

How do players still not know the "closing hand on puck rule"??

and Talbot has the nerve to complain. Unbelievable.

The Jets really need to watch a game like the Pens and Flyers tonight. Not to see how to not stay out of the box, or how to hold a lead, but just to see how much energy, effort, and heart these teams put out to win.

Jebus, two goals in like a minute. Vokun let in a terrible 6th goal. If that was Pavs this board would explode.

I can't stand the Penguins, but there are two teams that are fueled by passion.

Flyers and pens picking up where they left off in the playoffs......last goal wins in the fun, whacky, sloppy goaltending, hugely entertaining hockey games
