Hey, not every town is lucky enough to avoid having an NFL franchise like Anaheim.

Every time he opens his mouth he makes himself look worse. So glad he's gone. No way he lives up to that contract considering he can't take any criticism. Have fun LA.

Am sure it'll be super easy to stay away from drugs and alcohol in that city.

You know, that actually doesn't even factor in to why I don't think he'll do well there. He may have a good year or two there, but he just doesn't have the mental factor you'd look for in a player, nor the team oriented aspect. Add that onto the pressures of a gigantic contract. Just look at what happened with Pujols. Sure he eventually broke out of it, but he's regarded as a much more mentally tough player than Hamilton.

Obviously is a long long long way away (voting doesn't even take place for the actual host until 2017) but thought it was interesting nonetheless...

Los Angeles, Dallas and Tulsa, Okla., are among the cities that have expressed interest in hosting the 2024 Olympic Games. New York, Chicago and San Francisco have either bid or expressed interest in bidding in the past and could also get in the mix.

Houston, San Antonio, and Austin were the other Texas cities that were invited to bid for it. Apparently we're going to be pushing pretty hard for it.

Dallas will get one sometime in the near future. We will need an assist from Austin or something for events like rowing, but Cowboys Stadium will get us the Olympics.

Weren't they considering adding dams to the Trinity and flooding part of the floodplain adjacent to the city at some point?
Also White Rock Lake could work, pretty sure that's where SMU Crew practices.

Pretty sure you're right on that. That's where their opponents practice at least.
Not having to add a lot of facilities, imo, will help our bid. Can only hope 635 will be done by then, but I doubt it.
With Cowboys Stadium, AAC, Pizza Hut Park, it's only a matter of time imo. Don't see how Tulsa can even remotely think they have a chance.

I know you're just supporting your home town soccer team, but how can you stand watching that MLS garbage?

Eh, it's still entertaining to me. Players aren't as good as Premier League or a league similar, but games are still entertaining enough to watch.

Footy is footy to some people. Sometimes you just get better surprises out of MLS.
