Gardiner looks extremely confident, a little too confident tbh, should be called up soon.

Good to hear. He wasnt much of a standout on Saturday. You could tell he was a step above anyone playing, but not quite what he was.

Also, anyone know if Crescenzsi(sp?) has any real NHL upside? One of the best players on the ice Saturday IMO, hit everything in sight and scored a goal.

He was skating well, but could tell he was slightly dis-interested at some points of the game.

He does still work for MLSE in an "advisor role"

i wonder if the dust has settled and he is still working with MLSE, im a big burke supporter and imo would be better to hold onto him rather than let him go, hes still a top notch GM no matter how u feel about his personality.

Thats the thing. He wasnt fired because of his ability as a GM. It was his personality that got him fired.

Thats why the adviser role isnt the same thing as Fletcher, but a position to Tom Anselmi. Anyways, the only reason he is still here is so that his kids dont have to change schools. I imagine he wont really look for a new job until the summer at the earliest.

Of course for all we know he could move to the league.

I would love Brian Burke as commissioner, although im not sure he has the business background

This.

I think in two weeks or so he should be due for a call up and be ready to play. At that time we may see some guys getting shipped out.

Seems like everytime I check on Colborne, or I should say, check on his points... they're on the PP. He doesn't seem to get very many even strength points.

To add on to what other people said, he is still involved with US hockey, so he may have been scouting Gardiner for team USA's WC team.

Yeah it's because he doesn't have the most offensive line mates at ES, but he is very much a central component to the pp. his vision is outstanding, you could argue better than gardiners, which is why you see him with pp success

It doesn't matter who he plays with. He has more space on the PP that's why he produces.

He doesn't get the same time and space during ES, and doesn't use his body to create that space. That's why he can't create offence at ES.

I know his injuries really screwed him up last year. It took Lecavalier a few year sto return to the form he is showing this year. Lets hope Colborne returns to the PPG guy who was ripping it up last season. Would love to see him step into the 3rd line role for the leafs someday.
