I feel bad for Dutch Mantell as he was making this gimmick work. Seeing as Swagger isn't Randy Orton, just cut your losses and/or demote him to TNA.

Problem is, they just did the PPV. If they boot him out, I guess throw in Ziggler.

I'll never understand this behavior.

- Ticket to Wrestlemania. Check.
- Strong push. Check.
- World Heavyweight Championship match. Check.
- Big pay day. Check.

Let's throw that ALL AWAY.

I love the holier than though approach that most people are taking here. (You could definitely argue that my message may come off that way)

I don't really like Swagger, his angle is interesting. I could see them tying this into the storyline somehow and continuing with it, that's what I'm in favour of anyways.

I don't really care what he does to relax, DUI is dangerous, but I will take the innocent until proven guilty stance because I don't know the guy and am only reading about this on a trashy celebrity website.

Words cannot convey the stupidity of this situation.
Not a big fan of his to begin with but I was starting to get intrigued where this push was going to go.

Actually, WWE could use this as part of the conspiracy angle.

Highly unlikely but that's one way to salvage this. Swagger would have to job(duh) and potentially lose his job altogether...but this is wrestling after all.

Not like he pulled a Chris Benoit here.

Then again, even if he is 100% cleared or if they decide to punish him internally and keep him, he'll never get this push again and is destined to become fodder on Main Event.

There was no drinking. He was charged DUI on account of the dope possession. Its an automatic charge in Ms.

"He has been charged with DUI (not alcohol), marijuana possession, and speeding -- all misdemeanors."
From a WWE head.

Not that losing his spot matters, he has always been a channel changer for me.

lol. i was looking forward the world tit;e angle.
-all-american vs mexican
at the same time he has to worry about Ziggler trying to cash in. i absolutely loved where they were going this monday.

whatever. let him have the match and lose. cuz he screwed it.
Ziggler cashes in and wins after the match.
del rio takes his rematch for next PPV and we never hear about Swagger again

They put the kabosh on a red hot RVD.

Why would they keep a comatose Swagger?

Well that sucks.

Wouldn't necessarily call myself a "fan", but I always hoped he'd do well, especially with this new push.

I'm considerably eased in knowing at least he wasn't drunk at the time....kind of hard to take a DUI seriously without the presence of alcohol, but the law's funny at times.

Count me as one who hopes they try to use this as part of their angle, like saying the cop was Mexican or something.

Just a feeling I have. Riley was busted for DUI and he actually received a push a few months after and then how could we forget about Cole's tasteful "******" comment on twitter to Josh Matthews that saw him not only not lose his Wrestlemania spot but actually win the match? They have shown a lot more leniency lately. I just have a feeling that while they may put Swagger on thin ice, he's not totally ****ed just yet.

No way, Swagger is ****ed.

If he was the Jack Swagger of December 2012 that wasn't a blip on anybody's radar, then he'd probably be fine.

However, Swagger and the gimmick have been all over Major News outlets the past few weeks and the WWE have been catching major backlash from it (not enough to scrap it all together).

Now the guy who is the face of the angle gets promptly arrested for DUI and possession? The media will have a field day if no action is taken.

A guy who has been on thin ice for a year? A guy that Vince finally was willing to invest something into? He does THIS? Swagger can kiss his big push and Mania payday goodbye.

There isn't much damage control WWE can do to salvage this. As many have said, hotshot Swagger/Del Rio this Monday, Del Rio wins.. then move on by either a Gold Rush tournament or have Ziggler cash in that very night so we get Ziggler/Del Rio rematch at Mania.

They took 2 titles away from RVD in a matter of days after his arrest and they pulled Hardy and his big MITB push off of WrestleMania 24.

I'd rather watch Ziggler/ADR 100 times than Henry/ADR once. Already had enough of ADR vs. a giant for almost 3 months now.

I can see him losing his WM spot and jobbing out for a bit as some sort of repremand.

Dutch is putting out great promos. Its a shame.
