I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear of a deal during or shortly after the press conference...NHL rosters are set for the day at 5pm

As much as I'd like that, I think this is the change.

This doesn't sound correct.

Kevin Porter coming up from Rochester. That's what we waived McCormick for. Oh boy.

Miller and Leopold to Chicago for Crawford, Hjalmarsson, and McNeill. Chicago loads up for their run with Miller. Buffalo gets a starting goaltender for the short term, and Hjalmarsson can play with Myers. McNeill is another physical presence for Buffalo, and could play RW a la Horton. This puts Chicago close to the cap, but Leopold is gone after the season, and Chicago has shown that they'll tear down after the season if it puts them on a Cup run.
Vanek's a tougher sell. He'd fit in for the Rangers and the Wild, but neither are in position to take on Vanek's cap hit. Vanek to Colorado with Brennan for O'Reilly, Pickard, and a pick makes sense for Buffalo but not really for Colorado. Maybe Buffalo can get the Avs to bite on Vanek in a Roy-Ott style trade. Maybe they do just O'Reilly and Pickard? I think Regier missed the boat on Vanek by not sending him to the Rangers before the Nash trade.
WHY IN THE HELL? Chicago is rolling along on every cylinder with points in games almost at a record pace(soon to be tied). Mess with what works? No. Just no.

You think Crawford is going to get them to the promised land? Last time they got to the finals, they got lucky that their goalie was just better than Philly's. Think they should bank on that again?

Jordan Leopold not skating; watching the skate from the seats near Sabres bench.
Saw this on twitter, thought I'd share.

Strange. It's not like he'd need a "maintanence" day, right? He's not injured, as far as we know.
What reason is there to sit him?

That is unusual. He was a healthy scratch on Tuesday, and he practiced yesterday. No report of an injury after practice.
Perhaps a trade is nigh.

Not that strange if Reggie is back.

Thats what I thought, and why I shared it. The only two explanations I can think of are an injury we weren't told about, or a trade.

Where did he play in that practice? Ruff at least, certainly made it sound like he was gonna be riding the pine for a few.

Why would he sit out of practice though?
